Hey guys, I would advise you to email the director (Rachel Gannaway); she responded quickly about my status. I interviewed for the PhD program, and faculty involved in the dual program relayed to me that all decisions have been made at this point in time and that the MS is particularly tough to get an interview for. It appears as though they've only had about 2 students accepted into the dual program in recent years. All the best for your remaining applications!

Hey guys, has anyone here been invited to interview for both the MS and PhD in the dual program at VCU? I found out today I was not selected for an interview for the MS portion (I knew, but now it’s official). I’m still going to attend the interview for the PhD, but I wanted to reach out for any advice on how I can improve my application, if I choose to reapply, from those of you who are second time applicants. Thank you!!

KGI interviews are out!! In their email regarding accreditation: "The KGI Master of Science in Human Genetics and Genetic Counseling (MSGC) program has been granted Accredited New Program accreditation, effective February 1, 2018. A program achieving Accredited New Program accreditation may admit students, who, upon successfully completing their degree, will be deemed to have graduated from an ACGC-Accredited program."

Is anyone here applying to the dual program at VCU? I have heard back from the PhD program (last Wednesday) about an interview; they said my GC application is still under review.
