  1. In the past it’s been late on a Friday. I’ve got it on pretty good authority that the decisions for sculpture, probably the other depts too, will come out Friday night kinda late.

@Tomcat I felt I did as well as I could have done, that day, as myself. If I’m not up to Yale standards or they’re curating a specific group of incoming grads and I don’t fit, at least I won’t be kicking myself that I could have prepared more or something. I felt a good flow during the presentation and enjoyed the question and answer section. I left feeling positive but not sure if I convinced them completely that I would be a good fit. Who knows! We’ll see.

Word. It’s a small group and everyone plays a roll, however they end up building this years group is anybody’s guess. All you can do is be yourself and make good work. Good luck everybody. I guess we’ll all probably know Friday?

  3. @rebkhan I thought it went well. A little nervous during the presentation so it’s hard to tell how that went, not too bad though. but the interview portion felt solid. All questions were very related to the work, nothing I was uncomfortable answering. It became quite loose by the end and I felt more able to converse naturally.

  4. First time poster here, I’d really appreciate any help/ tips anybody has:

I have an interview with the sculpture department and was also wondering what the deal with bringing new or supplementary work is.. I’ve been working on other apps this past month and while I’ve still got a bit of time to make sculptures I’ve been mostly reading and drawing, kind of giving myself space from my last push of sculpture work and trying to generate new content. Just wondering if they expect you to show up with new/supplementary work to your portfolio or if you can just focus your presentation on talking about the slides submitted in your app?? Thanks
