Hi all, Since I was only accepted to MICA, I'll def be going there, but am trying to decide between two programs - Mount Royal (multidisciplinary) and Photo and Electronic Media. Supposedly Mount Royal currently has a better reputation, but I got more money from PEM (50%, which is their biggest scholarship). I got 30% from Mount Royal. I've been talking to EVERYONE I can and thought maybe I'd post to this here trusty forum to see if anyone has any thoughts? Also, did anyone on this forum get accepted to UCLA New Genres? I don't recall seeing any acceptances. If someone was, I would love to look at their website! Thank you!!!

Final verdicts: Slade: Rejected CMU: Rejected UCLA New Genres: Rejected Eeeeeeeek MICA Mount Royal: Accepted! MICA PEM: Accepted! Guess I'll be going to Baltimore lol. Got more money at PEM but am still conflicted. If anyone has any insights would be grateful to hear them! Good luck to everyone who's still awaiting results

Has anyone other than @frannygw who interviewed heard from Mount Royal? I haven't and am now freaking out/feeling unpleasant. Also, rejected from Carnegie Mellon today. Not surprised based on my performance during the interview. Oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just finished my MICA Mount Royal interview. Went so much better than CMU - was much less nervous. Phew! Anyone going to their visit day next Tuesday?

@SCSCH Pretty much all the programs I applied to are multidisciplinary in some way. I do mostly digital/video/photo, and am interested in sculpture and pushing my work into installation. Good luck to you as well!

Hi all, Longtime listener, first time caller. First time applying to MFA programs. Thus far: Slade - rejected CMU - interviewed 2/3. Totally bombed. Would be surprised if I’m selected. MICA Mt. Royal - interviewing 2/21 MICA Photo and Electronic - waiting to hear UCLA New Genres - waiting to hear WHERE. THE. EFF. is UCLA?
