ikr! I interned for a summer in NYC in college and it was shockingly hard on me. There were things I liked about the city, but it just isn't my kind of place. When I was applying for schools this year, my first filter was to nix any program in NY. No offense, New Yorkers! I used to want a career in publishing, so I guess I'm kind of glad I switched gears. I would love to, but it's sure going to be hard if my only acceptance so far remains my only acceptance, since it's in the Midwest. If only Riverside would call me. CONGRATS on Riverside, by the way!!!

Thanks, good info. Crossing my fingers for you and me both! Fellow Californian? I think I would like to stay somewhat near home/family/friends for this whole ordeal, since I feel like I'm gonna need the heck out of my support network, but it ain't looking too good from here.

It's freaking me out that Irvine (Feb 4) and Davis (last weekend) have results on the board. Actually I just checked and now Riverside (last couple days) has a few up too! AUGH Like... I am not expecting good news. But I feel like once I formally get rejected (or accepted?? stranger things have happened on this earth, but probably not by much) I can focus on thinking through the next step.
