Just received email notice from SAIC FVNMA following an email I sent to a grad coordinator yesterday. The faculty member notifying me of my admission was one of the two who interviewed me, and she responded to my follow up email.
I then received a phone call from Sculpture at SAIC confirming my admission offer that I received in the mail yesterday.
So as long as I can sort out money I’m off to SAIC - gonna probably take the film offer - but wanted to update folks on notifications for those departments.
Hello! Congratulations on your FVNMA offer! So happy for you! You emailed the graduate coordinator to notify them you received the offer via mail form sculpture department, so they called you today, right? So there will be no phone call from the department unless you emailed them as what has been indicated in the offer? (If I interpretate correctly)
thank youf to sharing this news! glad that you got the offer of the program that you want to get in! I am still waiting for the result letters since it takes 7 days to arrive in California via standard mail.

Check this link, it will show u the "service standards" of USPS by region. How faithful USPS are to their standards though, no one knows.

i think it will take a week to arrive in California which means next Monday or Tuesday. I hope they are faithful!

Also, you said that you got the offer through USPS? Do you remember it is in the standard mail (the slowest type) or first-class mail or any other type? Thank you!

I only applied for sculpture at SAIC and it is my first choice. Thank for your sharing this info at this stage. I will check my mailbox three times a day from now. Haha congratulations and hope you get good funding from the school as well!

Hope sculpture folks get their notices pronto - I’m chicago based so it may have come quicker than it might to others, and I never received a phone call.
You never received a phone call from the SAIC department and got admitted through mail directly? OMG, that is such a good news for me. I thought I got rejected because I didn’t receive any phone call and others who got admitted mostly received a phone call from their department. Probably the sculpture department just mail directly? Congratulations! And thank you so much for sharing this invaluable news! Will you accept the offer from sculpture department?

A friend was in the same dilemma after a good interview with SAIC, her dream school, she didn't make it but got accepted to SVA instead and she hasn't looked back ever since. I emailed SAIC graduate admission office today and they had confirmed that all result letters have been mailed out this week and we should be received it anytime. At this point, I feel really depressed because most people normally got In would have received a phone call from the department by this time. And people who got admitted have confirmed that they all got the information via phone. If not, probably the result will be either waitlist or rejection. I have been struggling during the past two weeks because I felt so nervous about the result. I thought I did well during the interview but maybe it is because of my works or my little experiences as a graduating senior student. SAIC is my best choice and the place I consider truly belonged. However, I think I might not have the chance to create works and engage my discourse as an artist there anymore.
Sorry to say something really negative but I have just been horribly stressful.

I applied/interviewed at SAIC for film/video, had a solid interview, felt very good leaving (I had a faculty member look me in the eye and say “to be continued” in a knowing way), and was waiting for something to be sent sometime last week. Thursday I saw the package and was like holy shit this must be it, but it was an advert mailer for the programs I’d already applied to. I emailed them, and will check back in if I hear back but I definitely got that as well.
Some info I got on interview day that others might be interested in re SAIC.... i also interviewed for sculpture and was told by the dean of grad studies that the film department had essentially made their decisions on 2/17, and that sculpture would be having a meeting on 2/19 and 2/20 to determine who they wanted to admit. Don’t know about other depts, obviously photo and some of the other departments have been quick to get their word out, but figured I’d chime in for once
Have you heard back from Sculpture Department since then? I am waiting for the result as well. Thanks!

Did you call the sculpture department or the school? I was advised that they will release the results by the end of this week on the interview day. However, I saw someone posted acceptance on theGradCafe result page for sculpture MFA. I am not sure if they have connected some of the candidates at this point. Waiting like crazy now.

Don’t worry. Goldsmiths is still interviewing because I will have one with them this coming Friday. So, you don’t need to worry about the result as they haven’t finished the interviews yet. Which programs of RCA and SAIC did you apply and may I ask why would Goldsmiths be your best choice over those three schools?
