Wow that is amazing, congrats! Stupid question but what does GA mean (I googled to no avail lol)?

GA means Graduate Assistantship-- basically they make you work for a certain amount of hours and your get tuition waiver.

It is not a stupid question, I also had no idea what it meant until a month ago :P

For those of you accepted to multiple programs what are you using for your decision making progress? Definitely struggling with picking which program I want to attend (they all have pros and cons). Feel free to message me if you have strategies you're using/used if you've already made a decision.

I'm ranking schools based on tuition, cost of living in the particular city, funding offered to me, reputation, class size, clinical opportunities, faculty, whether the program is 3/4 years, and overall experience during application process.
I created my own criteria based on those particular components, but I would encourage you to make your own based on what is important to you.
So far this has helped me eliminate 3 acceptances because I can not afford to live in an expensive city. Also, I'm thinking of committing to a 3 year program instead of 4 because I will be able to complete my program sooner (still not sure if I'm ready for the rigor though :/).
    I hope this helps!

  3. I think you are mixing up "University of the Pacific" located in San Fran with "Pacific Univeristy" which is located in Portland, Oregon. From my understanding only University of the Pacific has opened up it's portal for applicants from UW. I dont think Pacific University has done the same thing.
However, both programs are accelerated (3 yrs) and are pretty new. The main difference I can think of is that the program in SanFran is not yet accredited but the Portland program is accredited. Also, SanFran is much more expensive to live in compared to Portland.

    I hope this helps!

Your GRE was only 27?? Mine was like over 200. Plus a transcript fee of 20...

The GRE was $27 to send additional scores besides the 4 they give you on test day. The actual test was indeed $205 or some odd number.

Yea, for me it was an additional score report so I paid $205 for the GRE and an extra $27 to send it to uw-seattle plus the $85 fee.

    Here's their explanation:

Quite a big surprise when I read both the email and the website!

I know right! This came out of no where, especially since the program was ranked really high in the nation. I wonder how much they will be refunding for our application fees..... will it be 85(application)+27(gre fee)? or just 85. Does any one know?

Yes! I am not sure how they are going to choose but hopefully we will know by Friday!

Thanks for the info! I will most likely attend Pacific as well! Is there any instate or out of state tuition for Pacific? I did not see anything on the website for that.... Its crazy how $$$ Aud schools are now.

See you there!! :) unless you choose to go to a different school!! I'm not sure what type of funding is available... I'm waiting to see if the acceptance letter contains that information

Hey! I thought the email was the acceptance letter? Do we get another one after we accept the actual offer which will include the funding?
