  1. Here's the spreadsheet to calm and organize everyone's nerves. People who did not receive a second budget email were still accepted. There's hope yet for all of you waiting! Good luck everyone https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1fs6uPKWEHv6FaKxYpvVdveAnqe0VIZC8xUw2diDiPKk/edit?usp=sharing
  2. I got an email 3 minutes ago, but I'm fellowship so scholarship might be a bit later. It seems that they're covering fellowships first! ID why but i'm still nervous. I received my email from Boren..not BorenSALFI (like by budget emails). I'm sure i'm stressing for no reason..but still
  3. GOT THE EMAIL FROM SAFLI. I'M IN!!!!!!
  4. SAFLI still waiting as well!
  5. ME! and yeah i havent gotten an email yet either...
  6. I've gotten 3 random emails today and every time i go to check if its from Boren, my heart skips a beat. I need to know for like health safety reasons at this point!
  7. HAHA i actually went back to last year's thread and they got their acceptance emails on the 17th so I'm worried when we'll hear from them!
  8. Yeah the first email I received was also asking me to confirm all of those things, the dates, and all the different components of my budget, etc. I didn’t make any changes, and got another email of them pointing out a specific part of my budget (not the insurance lol) and from there we emailed back and forth like 2-3 times, till we finally stopped this morning. And yeah anything but an acceptance would be really disappointing after the effort that we’ve all put into our applications, plus the daily stalking on this thread, and the general torture of waiting for the past 3 months lol
  9. So in previous years for fellowship applicants, the Boren people would send out budget confirmation emails to the top tier applicants, and give them a change to amend their budgets. And if no changes were made cool-They would still give you the award and just cut your budget if/how they saw fit. No muss, no fuss, and certainly no negotiation! But because there are new administrators this year everything is so confusing and 10X more stressful for us! But it maybe that your application just got fast-tracked like last year!
  10. Yeah i understand why everyone thinks that having this attention towards your application is a great thing. But with the length and detail of correspondence i had with the SAFLI person i'm scared they're evaluating me as an alternative. But you're right, nothing to do now but WAIT
  11. I applied for Urdu under the SAFLI fellowship! I also received several budget email's from the SAFLI people, even when my first response was to not change anything about my original budget. They kept on reaching out and basically negotiating the budget with me lol Are you Fellowship or Scholarship?
  12. Their final decision is mailed, not emailed?
  13. I am a fellowship applicant and received a budget confirmation follow up. It was not labeled as "spot check" in the email, and it was only concerning a specific problem they found in my budget, after my response (to the first generic confirmation email) of nothing changing. So i'm not sure if that gives me a leg up or down that they were pointing out a mistake before i even hear my decision. I am also a flagship applicant so it may just be that they have smaller budget committees to check and knit-pick this kind of stuff for a smaller pool of students.
  14. But everyone received the budget conformation email, it can't be that we all made the final round. This year's application cycle is so different because of the change in admin! Stressing to the max
  15. What do you mean a by another email? They just sent you the same email twice? or the first email was the general budget confirmation email and then they followed up after your replied to go more in depth to your budget problem? They did the latter with me and i am a Boren Asia applicant (SAFLI). I don't know if this comparison helps since you never specified which part of Boren Asia you were referencing lol
