  1. Has anyone heard back from Stanford SDC program? I called them this morning but no one answered...
  2. Hi guys, I got admitted to the program MS Building Science at USC School of Architecture and MS Building Performance and Diagnostics at CMU school of architecture. My current plan is to start my career after graduation, but I might want to do a Phd as well, which is the reason I applied for the master degree. The MSBPD program at CMU is research-based and best for the students want to do Phd, says the official website. The curriculum of the program has many courses related to data science. I like studying new things and integrated computer science into architecture. Also, it is a small program with only about 10 students per year so the research opportunities are huge and students can have great interaction with teachers. But I am not sure if the data skill is useful for job seeking. And I the alumni network can be bad if I want to find a job in the building industry. The MSBS program at USC is more practical. From the curriculum, I thought they offer courses in a more traditional way so it is easier for students to find a job as a mechanical designer in the building industry. It may be more practical for students who would like to work after graduation. This program is similar to the architectural engineering program in PennState and Purdue, which I also got admissions but without funding or scholarship. Actually, I am not sure which one to choose among these 4 programs. I am an international student so please put it into consideration when offering suggestions. Thank you all for your reply.
