  1. @Zebras4Ever and @TBA1982 I got my rejection just now. It’s a relief, but def a bit odd timing wise...now waiting to hear back from one more school and then it’s decision time
  2. from the results page it looks like people who've had interviews with iowa have had them basically as acceptances. I'm trying to figure out what to do about Hunter. Knowing @tba1309 got in, I'd expect rejections would have been sent out by now. I just want to know cause I got a big decision coming up!
  3. Hey, congratulations! That's still very impressive. Waitlisting in my mind is nearly as good as an acceptance. These programs are so small you never know what arbitrary things keep one person on the waitlist and another person off.
  4. Hey everyone, Hope everyone's doing well. I wonder if anyone besides TBA has heard from Hunter? Naturally, I assume not hearing back at this point means no, but I'm just curious as to why we wouldn't get decisions even after people have been accepted. The application was mad confusing so part of me thinks I filled it out wrong. Also, though I got into one program and waitlisted from another so far, I am interested in hearing more about other programs. For one, before this process, I'd never heard of Arkansas. How did you all hear about the program? Have a good evening!
  5. Hey Penny, For me personally, BU would take the spot. Keep in mind I didn't apply to either but BU's location and production opportunities along with a city internship just seem to set up more opportunities after the MFA. For me, programs like Iowa and Indiana are appealing on a "get a lot of work done and make some great work" but the lack of theatrical hub concerns me. I would rather take the MFA at a place where I can explore opportunities in parallel to school, and I think Boston is a rare school that offers that along with full funding.
  6. @AS90 I believe I know some people who interviewed at Columbia this past weekend but it's very possible there's another round!
  7. @TBA1982, first off, sorry to hear about the Yale Rejection. I'm a first time MFA applier, and also applied to Hunter. I haven't heard back yet, but ya never know. what interests me most about Hunter is its faculty and though I've been accepted to other programs I'm definitely wondering if I'd want to hold off and try again there next year. Would you have any interest in saying a little bit about your experience level in the field / what your style of writing is? No worries if not, I just really adore both the faculty heads and would really want to aim for at least an interview with Hunter if I apply again next year. I also saw you interviewed at Yale last year ( sorry for snooping the post history, was looking to see if you'd applied to Hunter before), did they interview you again this year? If this is incredibly nosy I apologize
