What does that mean “their PI told them they just got the results”?

Because of the timeline set out by past years including the overall turnaround time, weekend maintenance, and the previous year’s awards going down, I think it is safe to say we are in the home stretch. Even with the hurricanes and government shutdown, I think we can expect the anticipated “final maintenance period” anytime now..of course with Tuesday and Fridays seeming like common release days.

Also the submission date for the applications were not until early November I believe, ours was mid to late October

It is starting to look that way. But I am trying to stay positive that a maintenance announcement is coming... This waiting is killer!

The common thought is that this and last year, compared to the ones preceding, had a similarly early submission date with less applicants.

While certainly dubious, if we take into account previous year’s timeline, the Tuesday/Friday similarities, and “the comment”; I wouldn’t bet against Tuesday morning.

Doubting it’d be a weekend. Here’s to hoping for Tuesday!

Signs seem to be pointing that way

Hoping someone applying for a second time, or perhaps someone with inside knowledge, can answer this one: When decisions are released, are we expecting to wake up to an email (one way or another)?

Half speculation half curiosity... Notice the awards were announced on either a Friday or Tuesday morning every year for the past handful of years. Seems a decently large sample size for coincidence. Is there a reason for this? Maybe I should sleep better on Tuesday and Wednesday nights and save my anxiety for Monday and Thursday's!
