Go where you are more excited. I was also excited after the interview at Columbia and am now on the waitlist for New Genres. I accepted my offer at Pratt but was torn between there and SVA for similar reasons. The student work at Columbia is what had me the most excited, as well as how they structure their mentor program.

Anyone committing to Columbia, New Genres or passing up the opportunity? I’m sticking on the wait list and wondering what my chances are. I’m choosing Pratt, Intergrated Practices with a scholarship as of now. Sending out letters to Tufts, SVA and UC San Diego today that I’ll be passing up their offers. I hope that opens the door for waitlisters there!

Congrats! I’m sitting hoping I get a call to get offered a slot with New Genres. I am in at some great programs- UCSD, Tufts, SVA and Pratt. I have some decisions to make and having to weigh out my options.

My interview with Pratt was March 8th and I received a phone call acceptance the following week on the 13th with an official email this past Tuesday. They are offering a 30K scholarship and I'm excited to move forward! I'll deal with the idea of shifting to Columbia if that opportunity presents itself, but I'm not holding my breath to get selected off of a wait list.

I literally have no idea. In the email I got today, looks like there is a short list and we may or may not ever be contacted. I’m going to move forward with Pratt- which I’m excited about! Still NY and they offered me a great merit scholarship- coming with a family, so that was nice.

My guess is waitlisted then. Were you at the interview on the 24th? So far I’ve been accepted to: Tufts Museum School in Boston, SVA and Pratt (with a nice merit scholarship). I’m still waiting to hear back from Columbia, UC San Diego and CU Boulder. As of now, my gut is telling me Pratt, so I’ll be letting a few of the other schools know that I would like to decline soon. This journey has been stressful, but we are excited about leaving Texas and heading to Brooklyn as of now!

Anyone interviewed at Columbia new genres been contacted? I have not heard anything since interviewing 2/24. Any acceptions/rejections from Columbia?
