Just wanted to say good luck to those who are still waiting to hear back - trust me i know how painful the waiting game is! This forum can sometimes cause more anxiety because you see the other amazing applicants you are competing with haha. However, everyone here offers such amazing support at the end of the day ❤️
I will be starting Windsor's mswwp program in the fall - if there is a fb group please let me know so I can make a fb account

Has anyone heard back from Windsor's msw working professionals program yet?

I got off the waitlist at U of T yesterday afternoon, too! It's a miracle. Is anyone also deciding between York and U of T? I'm having a lot of trouble deciding, especially with York's funding. If I'm interested in doing macro type social work - does anyone have any opinions on which program would be best?
for the 1 or 2 yr program?

Anyone here going to be going to UWindsor in the fall of 2018 for MSW? Message me!
Do you mind me asking how you wrote your personal statement? I am applying for the working professionals program and wanted some advice on how to write the perfect statement

Was windsors mswwp program deadline always may 1st or was it an earlier date and they just extended it?

I applied to the MSWwp in Peel! I don't think they are doing full rolling admissions at this point. I had all my documents and references in by the end of February but am still waiting. Danielle (program administrator) sent an email saying that "Due to the large volume of applications we have received, application decisions may take longer than 8-10 weeks to process." So by large volume I wonder how many that is....
I was told that they receive about 200 applications for all the programs so advance standing peel, foundations peel, and foundations windsor

I feel you on the under-grad front @whatdidigetinto. My average for Laurier admission is the worst part of my application. I have a lot of employment, volunteer and life experience as I am older too. Hopefully that will offset the academic average which in my opinion is not really indicative of whether or not you would be a good Social Worker, but what do I know?! LOL.
I have a friend who is currently in the U of Windsor MSW program for working professionals and she said many came from other fields and have no previous experience in the field so I am confident that you are ahead of the game. As for enjoying it, she is happy and has no complaints thus far.
Is your friend in the Peel location?

I applied to that program. I have not heard back yet from Windsor , but got a phone call Friday that I was accepted to Laurier’s online MSW. I went to Windsor's info session, and their set up/program seems really interesting.
ooh ok did you apply for the peel location or windsor? Also do you know exactly how many people apply to the peel location? i know they take in 50
-
Anyone applied to the MSWWP (regular track program in peel)? I was encouraged to apply even though I meet no where near the 5000 post grad hours. Apparently they aren't doing rolling admissions. Everything is just due on May 1

As they say: hope for best prepare for worst.
I agree with spers - there's September and January starts.
Also, if your adviser is Dilyara and you are thinking to to contact her- she told me she's free tomorrow from 3pm
Thanks guys (: i really appreciate the positive outlook and support.

Based on the phone calls people had with the online program advisers, I am just going to take this as a rejection/waitlist. If it was a happy day, then they were probably just sending out offers. Gotta prepare myself for the worst

Hey Guys,
I just had my phone appointment with Laurier adviser (finally!) and she said all decisions for May applicants where sent today (you probably already know :)) so I just wanted to congratulate all of you! Finally waiting game is done for some of us
All decisions as in acceptances only? or literally everything like waitlist and rejections too?

I got a call from laurier this evening (online program). I was told 52 people were accepted and there will be a webinar in two weeks to explain how to enroll for classes ect. I was told a student success advisor would be my next point of contact setting things up to get started for May.
Thanks for the update! Did they mention when the other decisions will be going out and how many people are on a waitlist
