Depends? my school had me just bring the payment form to my school's awards officer. The fund is established and ready to go- so i never actually contacted SSHRC about any of it (guessing they did so on my behalf). My school had also emailed me the form when they let me know I got SSHRC. (i'll admit what SSHRC sent wasn't that straight forward)

So apparently my family didn’t tell me the letter came (been in the uk this week). Good thing my supervisor heard results beyond my “you got sshrc” email on Monday. I got the bombardier with a score of 14/20 one forthcoming publication 6? Conferences

Usask is emailing. I got sshrc!

And (Ma level) I know people who have gotten sshrc or waitlisted with below 80% (who were told not to bother applying but did And won!) so yes it’s part of it but not always a make or break from what I’ve seen (though higher marks obviously help)

I found the figures on sshrc’s Website last year 30 were forwarded and 5 received at usask

Still waiting for word here (usask) for those who didn’t get it I understand the disappointment. I ran numbers after I was forwarded to national this year and for my school Being forwarded to national still only is a 17% chance of getting one. It is no real reflection on you or your ability. It is per my one friend a total lotto of chance. As to those waitlisted I do know people (not me lol) who got it (ma level) in previous years. Feels like a long weekend of waiting knowing that some know and some of us don’t.

I’d go business casual. Won’t be out of place of people who are dressed up more or less.
