Two of my coworkers just got rejection emails that said they were in the top 200 applicants, but due to budget cuts they only selected 69 this year.

I applied last year as an UG, and got rejected. You don’t receive any feedback. I’m applying this year as a 1st year PhD and from my understanding can re-apply next year too as a 2nd year. Pretty sure it only goes up to 2nd year though? Can someone confirm?

Poor Barbara. She definitely hates all of us by now. But, agreed, waiting is getting tough. I just keep checking this page because I have a feeling that when final decisions are released, I won’t get THAT a email either so I’m relying on you all to raise the alarm

Has anyone else received the January email, but neither the March DoD panel update around 3/16 nor the education information email this week? I checked my spam folders diligently, and I’ve called and emailed multiple times. The STI-NDSEG team has been so unhelpful and said they would get back to me, but I haven’t heard anything. Basically I’m just concerned that something was wrong with my application and I won’t ever hear from them with my result....any thoughts/info on this?
