  1. MFA!
  2. Good luck to you!! It's hard for me to not lose faith in the programs that have not yet contacted me at this point, but yes we should remain positive I feel like self-doubt can be so prevalent in admissions season. I hope we all recognize our own worth no matter the outcome.
  3. I cannot speak to the programs you applied to, but I was offered admission without an interview by another program, so it definitely happens
  4. Learned of acceptance to U of Minnesota via phone call
  5. Received UMich Stamps interview invite via email. If there's anyone who had interviewed with them before and is willing to share their experience—that'd be appreciated!
  6. I'm aware of that agreement. It's just that one of my profs expects some schools to essentially pressure candidates into committing early. It hasn't happened to me yet, so I hope you're right and she's wrong.
  7. Has anyone been in a situation in which a program offers admission with an attractive package (full tuition, assistantship stipend, additional funding, etc.) on the condition that the candidate commits to it within a short timeframe, like two weeks? I'm not in such a position, but I wanna hear about people's experience with it. How do you make decisions when it's still so early in the admissions process and you're waiting to hear from other schools?
  8. Printmaker here as well I applied to mostly interdisciplinary programs, but also a couple printmaking-specific ones like UTK and Tyler.
  9. It was Printmaking! I'll keep you in my thoughts
  10. Hi! Which department are you applying to? The experience may vary if the department is different. Mine was quite chill, lasted for 20 minutes as expected. They asked me to talk about a piece of work in the portfolio of my choosing, what artists/exhibitions am I looking at, why UTK, etc. All standard questions. It was my first interview too and I was nervous, but if you come prepared you'll be fine!! Good luck.
  11. I didn't volunteer this information earlier because I haven't seen people applying to these schools on this thread, but I've interviewed with UTK and U of Minnesota in the past couple of days. I was surprised about the Minnesota interview cuz I thought they typically don't interview at all. Freaking out and trying hard not to now that it's late Jan... Good luck to everyone!!
  12. Congrats! May I ask when the interview is? I really like cmu and have been anxiously waiting ?They seem to conduct interviews in early Feb judging from past years.

  14. Hi latenightlatte! This is my first time applying but I can see the reasoning behind you postponing a year. I obviously don't know you, but I think you made the right choice I'd love to hear your experience with the Rutgers interview. When did they invite you? How was the structure of the interview like? So on and so forth. I believe they conduct interviews on-campus?
  15. Hi, I applied to Stanford too. No leads though, sorry Haven't heard from them
  16. Thank you for your honest input, I really appreciate it! I wish you the best of luck in your transfer journey
  17. Hello! Would love to hear your admissions experience with Yale and UCLA, which are among the schools that I've applied to (Interdisciplinary/Printmaking). I'm assuming you were accepted but didn't go?
