  1. Thanks for the advice! I agree with you that 5 top tiers are more than what normal people apply for, but I had the impression that the admission rate for internationals is lower than domestic students, so I chose to apply to more reach schools than the average applicant to maximize my chance of getting accepted to one of them. I am going to add a few mid tiers on top of that though.
