Is anyone else beyond pissed after hearing the news today about the admissions scandal? As if the higher ed deck isn’t stacked against the middle class and working poor enough! I can’t imagine the opportunities I would have had had I not had to work ft through school, let alone if I had rich parents. ?

I was accepted to Oregon's MA today!

I feel your anxiety and uncertainness as it was mine. I haven't received news from all my graduate programs, except for an acceptance (although I'm not sure about the funding). I just want to wish to all of us that everything will take its time and right place! 

I thought the same thing. I also didn't expect any notifications this week, or most of next because CAA is happening right now.

Oof, is there anything more nerve wracking than seeing both acceptances and rejections being posted for a school while still not having heard anything yet? This is fun...

Yes! Some schools I applied to have sent interviews, and some rejections but I haven't heard anything yet and each day I feel less hopeful. Good luck to you!

good luck to everyone!! it helps knowing there are at least others to commiserate with! it's hard to remember it's still early when so many have gotten acceptances and every day feels like an eternity.. but we'll make it!

Similar thing here. I was accepted to one of my programs, but I haven't heard a peep from any of my other schools. I went through all of this in 2010 when I started my MA. I didn't hear anything until April. Of course then everything was done by mail. I would rush home hoping to see a big envelope in my mail box rather than a small one (acceptance vs rejection).

Same here, and I didnt receive the interview from IFA. I kept telling myself some people get admitted without interviews.

has anyone started hearing back? 
 
two of my colleagues heard back (acceptances) from two different schools over the past week; was wondering what the general status of MA / PhD acceptances was at this time. i know it's still early but now that i know they've started hearing back i can't stop refreshing my email! 

Recent UChicago interview poster here. Feel free to message me for any specifics. The interview/convo was fairly informal and was only with persons referenced in my SOP. I don't know if other members of the department are doing interviews, so I don't think people who haven't gotten follow up messages re: applications need to worry/overthink anything. 

I haven't applied to Emory but I've noticed a trend in results that the sciences get acceptances far before the humanities. Several of the schools I've applied to have been admitting to science programs for a month but don't seem to have even started interviewing for the humanities. We must just operate on a later timeline.
