Mostly because Yale has been my dream school for a long time and its reputation. But I have heard a lot of positive things from Duke alumni about their career planning and all my profs suggested Duke (with the funding) might be a better option...
I just received an update on Yale's financial support. I got a need-based scholarship of 20000 usd per year but I'm a little bit confused if this indicates I did not receive any merit-based scholarships?
Thanks! I'm an international student from UBC. As UBC is not using a 4 or 5 point GPA so I'm not sure about my equivalent GPA in the US. My avg grade is 89/100 (at least top 5%). My GRE scores are 170 (Q) + 163 (V) + 4.5 (W). I only have two periods of (not so relevant) academic working experience as a research assistant and teaching assistant on campus.
I got the offer from Yale too!!! So surprised!!! I'm applying straight from undergrad as I'm still in my fourth year right now so I can't believe they accepted me.
