  1. So sorry to hear that. I wish all the best for you. You can try again next year if you want. Many people get it on their second or third try. As others highlighted unfortunately there is a big chance factor in this.
  2. Congratulations! I'm really happy for you. As a current SSHRC postdoc, I can say that nothing much changed with my tenure-track position search. I would very happily accept an industry job at this point if I had the option. Unfortunately, it is not possible in my field. Having stability and predictability may be really good especially considering you will be living in an area that you would like to. For anyone wondering, I'm around for my partner's application this year.
  3. Uploading documents may not be a one by one process. They can have a function in the system like upload documents in this folder to the accounts with matching application numbers. There are things like this in databases systems but I don't know how theirs work. This could save a lot of time for both us and them.
  4. I guess there isn't a limit. You can apply as long as you are eligible.
  5. As the website says "Your documents will be displayed below shortly", I think they will upload the documents send to applicants each year. They are a set of documents including a letter with specific information about your application (e.g., your scores).
  6. I'm afraid when they say the results are available, we will have a very slow system. Because it is not very fast even now and all applicants will try to access to their accounts at the same time.
  7. I've heard that if you don't receive your letter in two weeks they send the results via email.
  8. I'm in Edmonton. I'll go and check my post at noon. I'll post an update then.
  9. You must have selected one in the submission system. You can see the list here https://www.sshrc-crsh.gc.ca/funding-financement/apply-demande/background-renseignements/postdoctoral_committees-comites_postdoctoral-eng.aspx Depending on the numbers of applications, they may have two sections of a committee such as 4A and 4B.
  10. I'm so sorry. It is hard to get over the news, but your rank shows you really have something. Don't let this to push you back; there are many opportunities yet to come.
  11. It seems like someone in Ottawa received the letter today.
  12. Thanks for letting us know! Maybe they mailed the letters very late on Friday, so the delivery was delayed.
  13. I emailed SSHRC today to confirm if they mailed the letters, and they said "The results for the SSHRC Postdoctoral competition were sent by mail February 28th, 2020." Shouldn't people on the east coast receive their letters today in this case?
  14. I'm afraid they will say it is delayed again, as they did last year.
  15. Thank you! I wish the best for you, too.
  16. The acceptance rate is around %17 and %19. I applied last year as well, but unfortunately was rejected. You can find lots of detail about previous years in Wikia.org. Here is the page for last year's competition: lhttps://academicjobs.wikia.org/wiki/SSHRC_2019-2020 I think the worst thing about this fellowship is being have to wait for 6 months; I got my letter on 8th of March last year. I don't understand why they insist on using regular mail for notifications in 2019.
  17. Hi! I applied to the SSHRC postdoctoral fellowship to be reviewed by Committee 4.
  18. Congratulations!!! You must be so proud, 9/120 vow! Thanks for sharing
  19. I hope he shares the results' statistics in one of the forums.
  20. It would be great if you could share overall and committee based results (acceptance rate etc.) as soon as possible after you receive your letter. I'm in Alberta, I guess I'll have to wait much more longer for my letter.
  21. SSHRC tweeted "UPDATE: The announcement of the #SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellowship results has been postponed to March 8. #sshrcpostdoc"
