  1. I guess everything about their admission process will be revealed during discovery but I don't believe the case has been publicized. You can probably find it on the courts website.
  2. The bolded sounds like code for racial profiling which is illegal and should be stopped. It can probably be stopped with an injunction so someone would have to go to court to stop it (and since they are accepting some applicants without interviews then it shouldnt be hard to get the injunction to stop the interviews altogether. Also, the writing sample seems like a joke. Giving applicants 25 minutes to read a 3 paged article and then write a coherent response is ridiculous and should not be happening. That said, from what I heard, a judge refused to dismiss a lawsuit against them so it would be interesting to see the writing samples of accepted students and why they got accepted over the ones who were rejected. Maybe this lawsuit will clarify what is going on with the admissions process at this school.
  3. My understanding is that they are being sued for having an illegal and discriminatory admissions process so they are changing the way they do things but not sure why they are interviewing some people while accepting others without an interview. Perhaps someone who went to the interview can answer to that.
  4. Thank you. I heard about the email at NYU but the school is refusing to make it public so its hard to determine what really happened (especially in light of the fact that people are making up stuff for their own personal interest i.e. Jussie Smollet so not sure what to make of the NYU debacle). Besides, it seems a bit KGB/mafia type for one student to squeal on another student to the administration regarding a private email correspondence so not sure how mature students are at NYU to begin with if this story is true. As for Hunter, my understanding is that they are being sued for discrimination and/or there are other problems with this school in terms of students not being allowed to graduate or being given a hard time to graduate so maybe its not as great as the school makes it out to be. Based on these, I would look into other schools that have better psychology/social work based education and more mature students. Thank you.
  5. Can you explain what you mean by Hunter having more of an emphasis on social justice?
