  1. @LaurGirl11 Hey! I actually got a decent scholarship from MGH so money wasn't a huge factor for me. But, I really liked the school when I visited. The faculty and students all seemed very welcoming, and they looked excited that we were there. As for academic reasons, I really like the variety of classes that MGH offers. None of my other schools had such a wide range. Even though the workload may be more than other schools, I think it will be worth it cause you may appear to be a more competitive applicant. One grad student I was talking to said that for clinicals, MGH students stand out due to the extra courses we take. Hope that helps!

I committed to MGH IHP, and I'm super excited! Is there a facebook page yet? Has anyone got access to their housing portal(I've heard about it, but I'm not sure it's a thing)? I live in California, and I'm not sure how to find roommates and housing.

Hey! There's a housing portal, but it seems like it takes while to get approved. I just got approved and I applied like 2 weeks ago. I've been looking at places through there, and I've heard theres Boston housing pages on fb.

Hi there! MGH is in Charlestown and there are some nice apartments over there. I don't go over to that area often since it's not "close" to the T but I believe there are shuttle systems from North Station. Are you thinking about bringing a car?

I haven't decided about a car yet. Would you recommend bringing one? When I spoke to the woman on the phone, she said that students typically use the train. Would that be enough?

Hey there - yup I went to BU for my undergrad. Most students will live in Allston or Brookline. Brookline is a bit pricier than Allston, but it depends on where you are. Allston has a big bar scene and great restaurants. Both are super close to campus too (Allston is more of a walk from Sargent, but the green line and buses can easily take you there). If you don’t mind the commute, Somerville is great too, but you won’t be close to BU. A lot of college students are there, though!

Hey! I'm thinking of going to MGH. Are these places close by to MGH or far? I'm not familiar at all with Boston and I'm slightly confused about how to go about housing.
