  1. Hello! Does anyone of you know what exactly will be there on the starting questionnaire which we all are supposed to fill before going to Germany? Thanks, @Antiquestardust
  2. I have been offered with a language course of 2 months. Do anyone of you is going to take a four-months course?
  3. Thanks for your reply. My language school will be in Gottingen. And congrats on your achievement!
  4. German national visa was issued to me by the consulate in my home country.
  5. Can you please explain which copies I need to get certified? When I applied through the portal, I had to send them the hard copies too. They were not certified by embassy. Which documents do I need to get certified, please mention. By the way, I already got a visa from the embassy.
  6. Is there anything else to upload other than the declaration of acceptance and consent processing medical data on the portal once you get the award documents?
  7. I received the letter of award along with other documents yesterday. Finally a sigh of relief. All the best for those who got the scholarships.
  8. Hello. My status has changed from 'Selection made' to blank to 'Funding'. I can also find a link for uploading the declaration of acceptance in the navigation menu. But, I have not received the award documents yet. When can I expect the documents to arrive because then only I would be able to upload the declaration?
  9. They have some reluctance about replying through the portal.
  10. Hello folks. Can you please tell me with what postal address you uploaded the consent processing medical data form; I mean whether it should be the address of the primary accommodation location in Germany or that of the permanent residence in the home country?
  11. After a long time, the status has been updated to 'Selection made'. How long does it usually take for changing 'Selection made' to 'Funding'?
  12. Can you share what was written in the letter of selection?
  13. I received these emails from the regional DAAD office.
  14. Well done.. and best of luck I'm from India. I am just fade up with the sluggish attitude of the DAAD India office. Can you please help me out understanding what's what. On the first occasion, DAAD mailed me this: "The DAAD is glad to offer the scholarship that you had applied for. Please let us know by 12 NOON tomorrow at the latest by email if you accept the scholarship or not. I am sorry for the very short notice. This is a preliminary enquiry so kindly do not communicate this offer to anyone. Not even your German / Indian guides as this is not the formal offer. DO NOT ANNOUNCE THIS OF THE SOCIAL MEDIA." When I accept the offer, the reply was like this: "Thank you for accepting the DAAD PhD scholarship ... ... ... Please book a visa appointment as soon as you get the award letter. Please keep in mind that the DAAD cannot intervene with the Embassy or consulate regarding the visa. This is not applicable to those who are already in Germany. It is very important that you inform us immediately if for some reason you are unable to accept the scholarship so that that scholarship can be offered to some other deserving student." The third communication was like this: "The award documents will take another 3 to 4 weeks (which means towards the end of April). Please inform your respective guides only after you have the award letter. Take a visa appointment as soon as you get the same. I will give you the contact details for the vfs later. Meanwhile please send me the following information so that we can inform the respective consulates about your award and visa application Name, Passport number, Mobile number, Email id, Where will you apply for visa" On the portal, the status is still 'application submitted'. I can not deduce anything solid out of these emails. Are they sending everyone this kind of emails just to screen their opinions, or to the potential awardees?
  15. @MohNour. Not yet. Which country are you from?
