Do you currently live in NYC? I think if you're sure about the city's influence on you, should seriously consider Parsons. I have a friend who just graduated from there and her work is fantastic. I also found New Haven to be pretty stifling. That was one of the reasons I chose RISD over Yale. I like RISD's relationship to Providence better. Of course, that isn't the only reason, but location is pretty important, IMHO, especially for graduate school.

Thanks!! I got an extension, yes. Congratulations on Yale! I think its just a matter of personal preference but I thought RISD's program suited my needs better.

I'm new to these forums! Just got my financial aid package from Yale today for the MFA program in graphic design. I was waiting for the offer to decide whether or not I'm going to RISD (my first choice). Offer wasn't impressive...RISD it is! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!
