  1. Here is the link to sign in to the extranet: https://influence.nserc-crsng.gc.ca/_Layouts/CASD.CustomLogin/Login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2f700000%2fA%2f_layouts%2fAuthenticate.aspx%3fSource%3d%2F700000%2FA%2Fdefault%2Easpx%2F&Source=%2F700000%2FA%2Fdefault.aspx%2F Username is the email you use with SSHRC. I reset my password and eventually I was able to sign in. At first I kept receiving a 'denied access' message, but then I tried it on Chrome and I was able to access by account.
  2. It's probably through the extranet. If you have an account from previous years, you might be able to sign in. I have one from my PhD award and I was able to sign in. There is a line that says 'Your documents will be displayed shortly. You will be notified once they are available.' If you don't have an extranet account, you should receive an email at some point with a link to it and instructions on how to access it. Unless the procedure has changed.
  3. Thank you for these insights, they are very helpful. I also applied to the FRQSC postdoctoral competition, and in that application, there were questions that explicitly asked about leadership and communicating with the public, as well as whether our project contributes to the UN's Sustainability Development Goals, etc. I feel like I have a better chance with that application (although I have to wait until the end of April!) because of these things. I did show them in the SSHRC application, but I didn't emphasize them as much. If I'm not successful for SSHRC or FRQSC this year, I know how to reframe my application for next year! Thank you!
  4. If they do decide to make this change, then I hope they delay for another year! It would be so disappointing not to have that last chance. I can still apply for FRQSC, but I haven't had luck with that either. I ranked 5 in my committee, but they only gave out 3 awards. And there is no waitlist. This process is so frustrating! I guess I'll wait and see what happens.
  5. I think the more funding available refers to if someone has a Vanier (or something similar) and declines the SSHRC. I'm not sure about the funding from Covid-19 legislation, but my guess is it would have already been factored in since it's for existing federal grants.
  6. You must be close. I don't remember who, but I think there was someone in committee 5 with a score of 13.5/20 or around there. Hopefully someone with a Vanier will decline and you'll move up! I'm in my third year, so I know it's disappointing. I have one more year to try this again.
  7. I'm in the HUMA program, but political science is my 'home' department where my supervisor is and my area of research. Hope you have an answer soon! The uncertainty of not knowing is the worst. Good luck!!
  8. I though it might be helpful for those who are waitlisted to have a space to share scores and/or if they are offered an award off of the waitlist. My score was 11.7/20 in committee 5
  9. Just received my results (Concordia student) and I was waitlisted with a score of 11.7/20 in committee 5. I'm going to start a new thread for those who are waitlisted so that we can hopefully see if there is any movement with the waitlists.
  10. The waiting part is the worst, which is why I decided to ask. I just want an answer at this point so I can move on! This was the awards office reply: Due to the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, SSHRC has put in place a new process to communicate results to applicants. This includes a new platform: the SSHRC Extranet for Applicants. Applicants will receive, via email, information on how to activate their account on the site. Once the result documents have been uploaded, applicants will receive a subsequent email inviting them to view the results. To follow-up with SSHRC you may contact them at fellowships@sshrc-crsh.gc.ca. I also sent an email to our program coordinator, but no response yet. My supervisor actually sent me an email yesterday to see if I had any results yet and asked me to keep her updated, so I if she does end up receiving any news, maybe she will update me.
  11. I've given up on trying to figure it out. I have noticed as well that a lot of the SSHRC winners yesterday and today were the 'big SSHRC' and not very many of the regular ones. And then some people who received the extranet email today are receiving results, yet, I received my email on Wednesday and still nothing. Some universities have results (or at least claim to ) and others don't. I've been searching for some type of pattern, but I honestly don't know if there is one.
  12. I was wondering the same thing. I still don't have any results
  13. Has anyone heard from Concordia? I received login details on Wednesday, still waiting on results. I just sent an email to the awards office to see if they have any information.
  14. I don't think that's the case. My department forwarded 13 and I know at least 2 of us still don't have an answer. I don't think they would tell some of us and not everyone (we do talk to each other)
  15. I received log in information yesterday, but still no results. Same with another person in my cohort
  16. I'm in committee 5 and I received sign-in information yesterday, but still no results

    FRQSC 2020

It's in the letter part that says they could only awards to so many people. It's not in the section with our ranking.

    FRQSC 2020

Political Science, I think it was committee 6. I don't remember. It's somewhat expected as I changed my major in second year from political science to education and then September, I went back to political science with my original supervisor (and not a clear plan on what I was doing). My supervisor said my proposal was definitely strong, but I also think that the switching back and forth has affected the relevant experience since I had a year away from political science. Experience was my lower score. However, this was my highest ranking so far!

    FRQSC 2020

I received my letter and didn't get it either. I was ranked 5 and they gave out 3 awards. I'm in third year. Fingers crossed for SSHRC!

    FRQSC 2020

Me too! Except not visual arts. And congratulations! I'm so happy that you got it!
  21. I just checked and I was able to sign in.

    FRQSC 2020

Yes, if it's not on, I assume it's a rejection. Hopefully your name will be there!
  23. I just received the emails as well. I applied through QC university (someone in my cohort received their emails around the same time)

    FRQSC 2020

Thank you! Yes, that does look like the link to the list. If your name isn't on it, I assume that you didn't get it. However, don't panic if you don't see it now, our competition is 2021. The 2020 is last year (I think it is!)

    FRQSC 2020

The waiting is so stressful! I also applied to SSHRC and they are going to begin releasing results tomorrow as well. I can't wait until this is over! I don't think it means anything if your results aren't ready at midnight. On their website, it says that if your name is on the list (I assume the results list, which I think will be posted tomorrow) and haven't received your letter in the portal after a few days to contact them.
