  1. The easiest way to verify anything about Stanford is to call. The acting graduate program administrator Kelly Rosellen's office can be reached by (650) 723 1908. Just wonder if anyone is willing to take one for the team (though I am not able to). If anyone decides to call, be sure to ask if all ADMISSION offers have been made and announced. Cauz they may tell you that all decisions will be announced later in the month, while it may well be a huge round of rejection emails sent out.
  2. Congrats! Is Blaydes your POI? The Monday news on Stanford seemed to have falsified the claim that Stanford had made all offers out by last weekend. Though I don't know if there'll be any more offers out.
  3. I don't know. But last cycle when I applied, I also missed the financial statement form. By late Feb I found out the problem and emailed them about my mistake and wanted to provide that information. They replied saying that financial resource statement only matters for admitted students, and since I was not accepted (which I don't know until then), they decided it was no bother.
  4. I would say it's different for Yale. Yale has almost the largest number of admissions and incoming students each year among top 10 schools. By far there're only 2 posts, it's definitely not done yet.
  5. I find the Stanford post quite convincing actually, there weren't many Stanford admissions posted in previous cycles, only about 5-6 reports on result search in 2010 and 2011. So if they only accept 13 this year, we've already seen 5 acceptances up there onsurvey, it may very likely be a done deal.....
  6. It means that you should let him know your other options whenever available. Those info will be a leverage for you to get fundings. Other competitive offers can help your POI to negotiate with the department, or to help the department to lobby the grad school, to convince the authority that you deserve more funding. It also shows your enthusiasm and commitment to the program, so as to help them gauge your interest and whether you deserve how much funding
  7. Thanks! Are you sure that by "decision", she meant admissions, not including rejections? since if admissions are released at this time, it's reasonable for them to send out rejections 2 weeks later.
  8. I guess it would be Kelly Rosellen who's in charge, (650) 723 1908
  9. Anyone take one for the team, and call Stanford to see if they're done?
  10. Were you phoned by your POI, or by directors/staff?
