  1. Thank you so much for this information!!
  2. Congratulations!!! So exciting! Did you get the informal offer for your department or Ertegun or both?
  3. I also applied to MPhil in MMES at Oxford! Would love to chat about the application & the waiting game!
  4. Oh really? Do you know if all the disciplines hold interviews? I’m a first time applicant and can’t find any info on whether or not Middle Eastern Studies does interviews. In any case, can’t wait to hear and here’s to hoping we all hear good news!
  5. It was a close call ? I did truly enjoy studying it and exploring the sites in Egypt. That’s awesome about your hieroglyphs class. What a great opportunity. Fun! I’ve heard that Queen’s is gorgeous. Unfortunately, I have not heard anything. As each week passes, I get more & more anxious. Have you heard anything?
  6. Oh fun! I worked with the Egyptology department while studying abroad in Cairo— such an interesting subject. How did you get interested in that field? I actually didn’t apply anywhere else because I decided quite late in the game to apply and only had time to make one decent app. And I didn’t elect any college preferences. What about you?
  7. I applied as part of Oriental Studies (MPhil Modern Middle East Studies). From reading the posts from other years, I think around early to mid-March. I wish it were sooner. I’m already going crazy
  8. I know this is v early in terms of hearing results, but did anyone else apply to Ertegun?? Can also post eventually about Clarendon. Am already stressing and looking for fellow stressed & anxious people
  9. A bit earlier in terms of hearing anything, but did anyone else apply for the Ertegun Scholarship? Just interested in hearing from fellow stressed people
  10. This is helpful information! Thank you! How did you come by this?
  11. Nothing for New York either. Glad that I found other anxious people. Here's to hoping we find out soon (and most importantly, that it's good news)!
