  1. Whoa! Seems like UofA decided to forward/send all the rejection emails at once/at the same time. Lol!
  2. EDIT: I've just woken up to an email from UofA to check my GSMS portal. It's a REJECTION after the long wait. Anyway, I expected it. So I'm really not surprised or affected by it. Congratulations to all those who got offers to any Canadian university/universities, good luck to everyone waiting and those still on the waitlist. For those who have been rejected, good luck in your future plans.
  3. True... Canadian universities take quite long. Also, I hear that they are quite competitive and hard to get in. I applied to one university in Ireland and one in Australia in late January and early February and I already have an offer from both. For UofA, my status is still at prescreening. Lol!
  4. Sorry about that. Did you apply to any other universities?
  5. Thank you for the very helpful information. Mine is still at prescreening (Global Health) Lol!
  6. Whoa! Could it be that the people who have received an offer for MPH Global Health concentration at UofA are not on this forum? I mean, it's April 4th and no one has mentioned whether they've been accepted/rejected. My status has been at prescreening since Feb 12th. This is absurd!!
  7. I haven't seen anyone yet. A part from you. ? I heard that they give first priority to domestic students and that slots for international students are very few. PS: Not only UofA but all Canadian universities. Idk the accuracy of the information though.
  8. Congratulations! This is good news!
  9. No, I really don't think the time of application matters. Someone on here said they applied to UBC on the deadline and they've been accepted already. I think last week? PS: It's not time to give up yet. Admissions are still rolling. So keep the hope burning. Good luck!
  10. Oh wow! So this story of rolling admissions and that the sooner one applies the better actually ain't the case?? Congratulations on your acceptance. You've got such a strong profile!
  11. Aah.... That's better. Thanks.
  12. Guys, Canadian universities have started suspending their activities for all staff and students due to COVID-19. Do y'all think it might have an effect on the admission process and also on international students? Maybe travel bans etc. But anyway, September is far so praying that things will get better.
  13. But your status reads under review. Meaning that your application has gone through the prescreening stage. I don't think it would have changed if it were not reviewed. So keep the hope burning though I completely understand when you say that you worried. Is UofA the only uni you applied to?
  14. OK, thanks for the very helpful information.
