Congrats Gen!! so happy for ya!

Folks, my letter is dated 17th May!!! so it sat in the office for 4-5 days before they mailed it!! doesn't make sense at all..............

And thanks to everyone on the forum, it's been so supportive. It made the wait so much more bearable!!!

I got it!!! Masters - just got the letter in Montreal today!! Congrats to Alau and all the others who heard the good news. Others out there - don't give up hope!! Bon courage!!!

Hey Hbaert, I'm sorry to hear this. Someone on the forum was mentioning that it's a very random process and you don't know why exactly you've got low or high score...... Also, someone was saying that you can ask for details on your file through open information act (I'm fairly new to all this, but have been checking the forum since a few days). You might want to look into it and try and find out why and where you lost points. Anyways, I say don't be too hard on yourself.

Here's the reply I got on Monday, 3rd May regarding master's results from, Mathieu Laurin, ProgramAssistant on my email to "Fellowships@sshrc.ca". "The results will be mailed by mid May." If that can help anyone Good luck everyone!!

Well, you never know the exact reasons why you didn't get it. If you can clarify, it'd be great and knowing your score would help also. Moreover, you'll probably have improvements in your file, publications etc by next year's Vanier competition, no? In any case, if I were you, I'd believe the department Chair and see how your candidacy can be improved!! Cheer up!!
