Is it ok to be really annoyed that Columbia extended their application deadline but still hasn't gotten back to me about a decision? I know that they are still releasing but WTF.

This is literally me 100%. Deciding a big portion of my future at 20 was not what I expected when I entered college two and a half years ago. I'm visiting several schools soon but am completing full Ginn models to try and weigh where would fit best with my wants and needs. I am SO LOST THOUGH.

My Penn gal didn't say anything about my nose rings and I have several visible tattoos, though they were covered with long sleeves. As far as I know, I've not known it to be an issue In my experience, people are going to trust you more if you don't look like an uptight white person and tattoos/piercings can help with that.

Thank you! I'm shocked. I'm from a small town in western Kansas that no one has heard of, with the worst funding in the state. In my town, everyone goes to the hometown college and it was a big deal to even move 3 hours away. My mom sobbed when she found out I got in. She had me really young and gave up her education for me. I feel overwhelmingly grateful today.

I got into Penn! they sent me an email saying they were going to call me tomorrow but didn't want to wait! I got it like an hour and a half ago!

I understand you entirely. It's super hard. NYU wants my decision on March 11, and my worry is I won't know about CU by then (or UW, or my second DU).

I was told this at least 4 weeks ago and still have no news. I applied for early decisions, too. Just know several of us are in the same boat and have deadlines to meet, too. So if it's 8 weeks after submission, they're overdue.

The Denver Modern Art museum is for real so cool. Also, if you're a sushi person, I recommend Hapa. They have 3 locations and all are so fabulous.

I feel this in my soul. I called my parents as soon as NYU sent me their decision and just told them that I have zero clue how to even go about choosing now. I'm visiting NYU in a few weeks right before my decision date, but still nervous it won't yield any groundbreaking results to convince me one way or another.

Most programs encourage applicants to say within their statements why they may not meet minimum requirement, but why they're still qualified. I'd say give it a definite shot.

How did you find out the other financial aid you qualified for? I never got a follow-up email or anything.

I guess maybe? Tbh idk if they’re open on weekends. If they are and plan on throwing them out the rest of the weekend then it makes sense. But not end of the day randomly on a friday over a month before announcement day estimations.
