  1. Nice, I think you did it the right way. I think being able to show maturity and passion are the most important part, and having a research experience that enhance it makes you a great candidate. Also, I didnt applied to many schools this year because I couldnt reach out many PIs. As an international student, if it is not crucial, it is very helpful.
  2. That is true @lencarn You should start a youtube channel and Vlog hehehe Do you think is there anything in your profile that stands out or it is kind of the overall consistence of your applications.
  3. I think so. I didnt received the rejection too (from Princeton), but by how it was in the last years seems that is the sign heheh.
  4. Nice!! Congrats! I would love to talk more in details about your profile any time if you dont mind. I didnt get the interview, but I would like to figure it out if I had any chance next year. I only had one manuscript in preparation, but 3 other co-authorship publications (1 conference paper). 3.4 gpa undergrad, 4.0 Master. Relevant work to a PI, but maybe If I had my manuscript on biorxiv, it would help to show it. I had strong LORs, but a old PI manage to mess up with a letter ? Still, please let me know if you would like to chat a little bit. Congrats again!
  5. I think Princeton already sent all the invitation. If is there any international student that got an interview from Princeton, please let me know. I would like to know a little bit more about your profile.
  6. I wanted to work with PIs that have kind of good balance between the two. I came from a biomedical background, but had good exposure to theoretical work and enjoy both.
  7. I heard once something like 1 spot hahaha That is sad, but as most of the US students can get NIH funding there I can understand why.
  8. Yeah, I was already expecting very few spots. It was kind of a shot, but let wait and see.
  9. hahaha me too, submitted at the day of the deadline too. Did they tell you when the interviews are going to happen?
  10. Hopefully, maybe they will invite the international later. As there are a few issues with visa and flights looks more complicated.
  11. If you could also share a little bit of your profile? Thank you and Congrats!
  12. Great! Could you share your info? I am international student applying there. Would you mind sharing research exp, publications, LOR, when did you apply? Thank you and Congratulations!
