  1. I have health issues so I am only able to handle four classes a semester, which totals to 12 credits. Do grad schools look at how many credits you take in a semester? Does the amount of credits you take matter to them? I am worried that grad schools are going to look down on me for taking such few credits. Not sure if it matters, but I'm interested in MSW/MPH program. I'm still going to graduate in four years, so its not like I'm taking extra long to complete my degree.
  2. Hi- Currently a college sophomore looking to go to a school counseling program, mental health counseling or BCBA program in the future. So due to medical reasons, each semester- I'm taking 11-12 credits max. I would like to take 16-17 credits, but unfortunately my health makes it difficult to do so. Tried to do that, health got worse and had to withdraw from a class. I'm concerned as I know graduate programs want to see rigor and I'm just worried that I won't be able to stand out in the admissions process or show that I can handle grad class rigor. Any advice? Is this going to negatively affect me and hurt my chances of getting into a program?
  3. So I'm currently a sophomore in college and know for sure that I either want to go to graduate school for clinical psychology or for social work. Right now, I'm a Psych major. However, I am very nervous that I do not have a chance at getting into a graduate program due to having to take a medical withdrawal my second semester of my freshman year (all W's I was way too ill to finish out the semester and I probably would have flunked if I didn't take a leave. I'm just worried that this is going to reflect poorly on me when it comes time to applying to graduate schools. I just finished up my semester and I have a C in a non-major class, which Im worried is just another thing that is going to reflect poorly on me. However, my overall GPA Is around a 3.56 and major GPA is a 3.7 (I think by my calculations). Do I have potential at getting into a grad school program in the future? I am not a dumb person and I strongly believe that I have what it takes, but unfortunately, I have had circumstances that affected my ability to do well in school.
