  1. Hi all, I started a UK graduate student group on Facebook that can serve as a meet and greet! If you go on facebook, just search "UK graduate students." Please join and invite people from your program!
  2. Yay!! Congrats! I wish there were more UK people posting on here, but I'm super glad there's one more!
  3. Post if you are going to Lexington!
  4. Hey! I might be at Kentucky next fall too for cognitive psychology. Are you taking their offer? Message me when you get a chance!

  5. Thanks! My POI told me this (I actually was in contact with two different professors that share a lab). I emailed them (it wasn't too awkward because we've been in contact a LOT), and they responded back. BUT, I accepted my offer to Kentucky this past Friday. I'm not sure who all that will help but I already told all other schools as soon as I accepted. Good luck to everyone and if you need anything PM me, because I haven't been checking this forum as religiously anymore!
  6. They told me they sent out their admissions decisions last week; I was waitlisted. Good luck to all
  7. I went ahead and emailed my POI from UCSB. Was told there were many applicants for few spots and that they could not offer me admission. Best wishes to the rest of you; hopefully you all will receive better news!
  8. rejection (email telling me to check the status of my admission) from UCLA this morning.
  9. Hawaii sent an email to me today; I was put on the alternate list. Hope this helps anyone who applied there!
  10. Thanks for posting this... I like closure! lol. Honestly, I didn't even know if my POI was taking students. He said there was like a 20% chance.
  11. Replying to myself, Purdue sent out interview invites for the weekend of Feb 17th. Someone else posted this on the results as well.
  12. I went to SPSP. It's pretty social. Some profs use it to meet up with potential students prior to sending out interview invites. Others have been busy and haven't even looked at applications yet. My undergrad advisor asked around for me and it seems to be somewhat divided. I would expect a flood of news now that it's over, probably around the next week or two, simply because if people didn't have time to discuss applicants before (while preparing for the conference) they do now. Also, if they did have time to look and met with some "potentials" then they may have narrowed down the short list. I believe Purdue should be sending out interview invitations in about a week (talked to a prof); I'm not quite sure about the others. Good luck everyone!
