  1. No, check your spam folder. I dont know why but everyones financial aid letters from Columbia are going to spam.
  2. That is great to hear, thank you! I currently live in Oakland, CA and have been told if I love it here I will love Philly.
  3. 36K total, so 18k a year. If it was per year I would absolutely lose it.
  4. Ayyyyyy Columbia offered $36,500 in scholarships! Also check your spam folder!! Mine came a week ago and I just saw it. What much in scholarships is everyone being offered?
  5. Absolutely, unless Columbia offers me significantly more money than Penn, I want to move to Philadelphia. Their program allows me to do direct work in prisons from the get go, and I like that they have you do your field placement 3 days a week, most programs only require 2. I think Penn will allow me to graduate with more confidence in my professional skill than the other programs I applied to.
  6. I have said this before but it may need to be said again. To everyone who hasn't heard back from schools yet: It is only the beginning of February! You're all SMART and GREAT and need to remember people primarily post good news, not no news and not bad news. It might look like everyone under the sun is getting in except you, but that isn't true! This is a skewed sample (always question the source of your sample population)! The start of February is still early to hear back, so if you haven't heard yet, don't worry! If you look back at old forums, people were hearing back January through late February and late March. Good luck ❤️
  7. Congratulations!!! I got accepted to Columbia on January 28th (I think) but haven't received financial aid information yet.
  8. I just got my UPenn acceptance letter and am getting $36,000 total!
  9. Pretty general questions, my interview was with Felicia Greenfield and lasted about an hour (but I truly never shut up which may be why it lasted so long). She asked what interested me about Penn, why I would be a good fit, a difficult time in my life and how I moved through it. It was really more of a conversation than a structured interview. I can honestly say I had a great time speaking to her. From everything I have heard from others and my own experience, it is a pretty laid back interview. Michigan was super structured and serious, but Penn was real chill. Good luck!!!
  10. I just got the call from Penn!! I got accepted!!!
  11. No not yet. I got my acceptance last Monday.
  12. In my application I made sure to do a lot of research on the program and talked about the interests of specific professors I was excited to learn from/work with. Talked about multiple research labs I was interested in working in. Bachelors in psych, 3.8 GPA, presented my research conferences (emotional self-efficacy and resiliency of foster youth using a community based participatory research framework), TA (general psych and biological psych), currently program manager of a nonprofit, 7 years of volunteer mentoring with substance dependent youth and young adults, graduated with Deans Medal of excellence.
  13. I would suggest calling them and asking too! They are really nice on the phone and the date may vary depending on when you applied. I applied late November.
  14. I talked to Berkeley a few weeks ago and they said they would be released by February 22nd or so.
