I wanted to share my excitement: I received an acceptance letter yesterday I am thrilled to join the program and I wish everyone who has been waitlisted to remain hopeful. I hope everyone gets to hear the happy news as well!

Just received an email that I’m on Alternate list. Sad, but I’ll hope for the best

Hi @dbrick! I would say the interview went rather well for me. I loved the format and the questions that were asked: it was fascinating to hear other applicants' stories. All of the interviewees were so qualified for the program! Also, the faculty members who interviewed us did an amazing job giving non-verbal positive reinforcement. That really helped me stay grounded. I want to believe that I managed to show who I am and to share my passion for the field Now I am trying to relax and NOT update my email every 3 seconds...

I am about to head to mine soon! So nervous

Hello! I turned in my application early since I’ve been rejected from a Masters 2 years ago and wanted to get it done differently this time! However, as far as I know, it doesn’t effect anything! They start reviewing applications together at the same time, so I wouldn’t be too nervous about it! Yes, I do have some experience in mental health field. I worked as a behavioral therapist with kids with special needs for a year, worked as a crisis counselor for a year, and am currently working with kids with special needs again. I also have been involved in research in psychology for a year.I hope this helps! Thank you so much for your kind wishes!

Hi @dbrick! Don’t give up: I’ve read the CSUN forums where they send a second wave on invitations later on during the process! My interview was scheduled for Feb 20th, but there was an option to select a suitable date and time slot. No, it was on my regular email (the one I used my application). I didn’t receive an email on the CSUN account. I really hope you get an email as well!

I feel you... I get really paranoid when it comes to my chances. I worry if I’m missing something or if they deem me to be not experienced enough. Also, I feel like it’s challenging to find a paying job in the field of psychology (especially closely related to what you want to do in the future) being limited to only BA. I hope that my work experience being just in the same field is enough

Your experience sounds great! I think they will value how diverse your experience is and how devoted you are to the field!

I feel you! I am seriously considering doing the same now... Let's hope we both get accepted and won't need to pay delirious amounts of money for our education!

Wishing you best of luck! As far as I know, they don’t start reviewing early applications before the others, so don’t worry about it! As long as you’ve turned your application in on time, it wouldn’t make much of a difference!
