Thank you!! I'm sure by Friday we will have the acceptance and aid letter and can make a decision from there. I'm with you though I'm 95% going to put my deposit at BC mid next week but still want to compare since BU's tuition is like 10k less than BC

I just had the weirdest interaction with BU... so I called for an update and they told me I should have gotten a status update (which I didn't) and she asked for my info and checked and said there was a mistake whoever reviewed my application didn't send it? and that is how I would also get my decision so I was like okay...and she sent it so I now get the emails. THEN she said they wanted to send all acceptances on V-day but didn't so it should be by this Friday/Monday latest. I was like alright is a decision made tho and she was like okay yeah this isn't how we do it but you were accepted and should be getting aid with your package next week! Like bless she said I had a great package and should be getting a good aid one?? whatever that means??ANYWay so all BU ppl waiting I would expect this Friday INCLUDING aid package. *so I'm not sure about that BU portal because my portal doesn't say I was accepted, only that i can apply but I was*
-
I would still apply. I know people who have gotten into other program that had gpas below the requirement. they might ask for an additional statement explaining. also few free to call the program and ask i’m sure they’d be happy to give you some advice
-
yass! I know right I already put orientation on my calendar lmao. I am v thrilled to be done with applications and such
-
probably! I'm not too worried about it since Im already set with BC so I don't have to stress too much lmao ?
-
no nothing yet! hmm weird but that’s okay I’ll find out soon if I got in or not

no particular reason I was just looking at cost regarding you weighing your options, and COL will be a lot higher in Chicago as the the other poster mentioned. I have heard people be very interested in UMish but I don't know much about UChicago! Also depending on if you have a specific clinical focus (mine is healthcare for example, so I would want to pick somewhere where there is a lot of medical field work options)/what you're interested in regarding research etc could matter too. When's the soonest deadline?
-
what's your top choice? I agree with the other poster if you can get Umich to match or come close to the amount left over for UChicago then it would be worth it. If Smith gave you 0 I can't imagine it would increase to be close to the others but who knows!
-
huh interesting about the BU link, when I click on the page it just brings me to the page like I've never applied. I guess I'll find out soon lol! ?
-
mine still doesn’t say anything and no email ?
-
it’s varies for the licensing. from my understanding it’s pretty hard to transfer over if you’ve already obtained your license otherwise I don’t think you’d have a problem if you move and take your exam there as long as you’re able to get your prior supervisors to submit their stuff. i’d call ASWB in the state you’re considering going to school to ask some info!
-
right?? I emailed them I think like 2 weeks ago and that was the response I got. i’m not gonna worry about it it’ll prob be within the next few days ?♀️
-
they said end of february but probably closer to the middle...which is like this week so maybe we will hear by friday?
-
no mine never changed. I emailed them about it and they didn’t seem to have an answer so i’m not sure that it mattered? they only answered my question about when I would hear back by
-
@ my BU people still waiting, hoping we hear back today probably at 5pm? How many of us here are waiting on BU updates?!
-
lol same I already have my mind set on BC so unless something wild happens with BU aid but I doubt it! Oh okay, I'll just submit it anyway rather be safe tbh. I did my FASFA around the same time as you did
-
ohh wait I think I did IRS data retrieval on my FASFA so i don't have to send over those documents, did you select that on yours?
-
oooh okay, yeah I saw that in the admitted students info BUT it said after deposit which is confusing. I just sent over my form to them actually. Thank you for that info, I'm looking at it now and see the tax stuff. I asked for a time frame so I will let you know when I hear back! April seems rlly late

This is the part of the email I got from them: "the scholarships we offer to our students are separate from the financial aid packages that Student Services offer. To find out more information about the rest of your financial aid package, you should speak with Student Services. They have information on their website and you are welcome to call them as well. Their phone number is: 617-552-3300. Let us know if you have additional questions. I hope this email was helpful!" ??? so they don't send out info I guess
-
thank you for this info!!

My job won't work ? our internship program ended last year plus I really want to do something different than what I am now! I live near a hospital too so I might apply their for per-diem or something
-
Can relate to that, did you apply for 2 year or advanced?/are you applying right out of undergrad?
-
don't worry! I got rejected from BC my first time applying in 2018, it was a total downer but there was nothing I could do about it. BU also is more understanding of lower end gpa, my friend had under a 3.0 and was accepted her 2nd time applying. I feel u tho it's hard not to feel discouraged but it doesn't mean you didn't get in to the others!!
-
nope, no idea. I'm planning on giving them a call today and asking so I'll update when I do. From what others posted it seems like schools send them out about a week later?? Also the same dilemma about BU & BC! I'm trying to figure out how to like work.... my work will give me ~some~ tuition reimbursement as long as I stay part time for 24 hr/wkly but looking at BC's schedule I have no idea how that's gonna happen

anyone hear anything for BU? I tried to call but its only a VM box ?
