Second Bachelors before Masters...?
Polcc replied to WhiteChocolateMochaBaby's topic in Social Workers Forum
what’s your stats? low gpa doesn’t mean you won’t get in -
Yes I got a scholarship too. There should be another one with grants/loans etc somewhat soon i hope?
-
let me know if you do and I will too! I just got a call about accepted students day and they told me to email them asking about my aid package, assuming they didn't attach one with your acceptance either?
-
they told me the middle of feb...which could be next week... im contemplating calling mid next week since BC deposit is due by the 27th
-
congrats!!
-
How long does it usually take for an aid letter to come in? Should I call or just wait?
-
for real. I haven't been to BC either but I've been to BU. If you can only go part of the admitted students day that would prob work too
-
I'm also waiting on BU..but leaning more towards BC but it all comes down to money and if I got accepted lol. I was planning on applying to Simmons only if I didn't get in, plus I wouldn't hear back now until after BC's deadline. I was thinking about going to the admitted students day but I work 9-5 and can't take off anymore time seeing as I'll prob be going VERY part time in June?
-
yes good luck to you!! I'm sure you'll know by the end of the week
-
thank you! Did you check the portal? They're prob sending out emails in batches
-
January 13th!
-
me tooooo! congrats!! I contemplated not even opening it at work because I was nervous lmao
-
Oooh okay! I got 15,000 over all 3 semesters. Yes for sure, I've seen someone do the same thing and say I got a higher amount elsewhere but this is my top choice and I cant afford to attend, I think they emailed the dean of admissions? It won't hurt your chances since you've already been accepted but I feel u!
-
congrats!! the acceptance page the the bottom came with confetti when you clicked on it? if you're comfortable with sharing did they including scholarship $ in your letter? I'm debating asking for more but wasn't sure how to go about it? During undergrad I wrote a letter to fin aid and got a couple extra every year but thats about it
-
thats awesome! Hope it works out. I just got an email to check my portal and was accepted!! Check your email
-
just got into BC!!!!
-
Ohh that's not too bad. Yes I live in Brighton so I'm actually right in the middle of BU and BC and I live next to the T. I drive too so either way commute wouldn't be the worst. I'd look into Brighton/Alston area since they're relativity "cheaper" than in the city.
-
Anytime! Yes good luck to you too!! Hopefully we hear something good soon Where are you moving from?
-
@MSWSTRESS I also heard people from the forum in previous years find out about their acceptance with the agora portal from BC before an email or official notice. Not sure if you tried it but you basically go to agora portal BC use the same email that you did to apply and create an account, if you see grad deposit on the screen then you've been accepted (from what I read it seems legit!). My portal still doesn't say anything as of now
-
np! the email actually said by the end of february but closer tho the middle so it could be between then. for BU behavioral health, clinical track. for BC health, clinical track and i’m interested in the neuroscience certificate! im hoping that even if I don’t get into advanced standing they’ll offer me 2 year ?
-
hey! same here did you apply for advanced standing? BU told me mid feb and then the email i’m assuming you got for BC said by feb 15th...so it could really be any day now
-
what email did you get?
-
I'm so tired of constantly refreshing my email ? anytime within the next 10 days!!
-
I don't see any harm in calling and asking tbh
-
I've heard acceptances for some places go out over 2-3 week span, so I don't think it means that you haven't been accepted! Some schools will tell you over the phone and some won't. Id give them call 1 month after the deadline if they didn't give you a time frame to hear back
