  1. Nice, congrats on that! WashU gave me 60k. It is my most competitive offer so far but I am waiting on all of the financial packages before making a decision. UChicago told me they are trying to get the financial aid packages out asap but because they have a later start date it can take longer. Fingers crossed...
  2. I applied Dec. 15th and was admitted on Jan. 22nd. Hoping they send out the need based awards soon. How much did they give you in merit scholarship, if you don't mind me asking?
  3. Do you mean the FAFSA or merit scholarship? They have not sent out the FAFSA packages yet, they told me that would begin in early March. The merit scholarship would have been awarded in your letter. If you are trying to appeal for more funding, they finally got back to me yesterday and said they only do that for a few specific reasons and they do not do scholarship negotiation. In the cases where they will increase merit scholarships, they say it is only be 2-5k. Hope this helps! Were you awarded a scholarship in your acceptance letter?
  4. I reached out and they told me the end of March.
  5. Hi there everyone! Jumping in to see if anyone who has been accepted to UChicago has received a financial aid package yet? The scholarships I know are in the acceptance letter but I am still waiting on the package with grants, work-study, etc. Thanks!
  6. Hi there! I know someone who went to the full-time two year MSW program at Loyola and she really liked it. She also found a job at the site where she had her field placement after graduating. Overall, their graduates seem to have a huge presence in Chicago, especially clinical social workers. The only downside is I don't think they give out a lot of aid, but if you were doing online then I am sure it is more cost-effective! Hope this helped a bit, good luck!
