I got the same email. The deadline to accept or decline UW offer is may 15 I believe? So I think for now I personally would just accept if you’re still deciding, and if you don’t end up enrolling by the 15th next month then that’s that. Either that or explain to them how you’re waiting for other schools and you’d rather wait to accept the scholarship until you’ve decided on attending, and see if they’ll grant an extension. also for anyone that was going to appeal their aid package with other competing offers- I tried this and they could not match my scholarship. They did offer me 6k of work study which I was not offered initially.

Where is this i could only find the current SSA student group and they wouldn’t let me in lol
-
I applied... Hope we hear back soon about interviews!
-
Thank you!!!

Hey I’m wondering who you emailed about uchicago?
-
Has anyone considered emailing UW about negotiating aid based on strong financial aid packages from other schools? To see if UW can match? Waiting to see if this departmental scholarship thing turns out over the next week but in case it doesn’t I’m wondering if anyone else is thinking to do the same
-
Uhhhh also got my financial aid package which was all loans and 0 scholarship or grant money lol.. I got pretty good scholarships at the other schools I’ve gotten into I’m curious if anyone else has a similar aid package or is going to appeal or anything?
-
Anyone else apply to UChicago get a financial aid award email that didn’t include their scholarship at all?? I’m confused here and not sure who to contact.
-
I’m thinking of reaching out to UChicago to ask for additional aid. I’m curious at how you went about this process and what UChicago offered you? I already received a pretty decent scholarship which I’m grateful for but if they could provide me with any additional aid it would of course help. I have a lot of student debt already and want to minimize that and not stress while in school ?
-
Thanks! I’m thinking maybe I will see what happens when the full financial aid package comes out. Deferral also sounds like a good idea that I’ll have to ask admissions about. I got an email that there was a portal update this morning and my decision letter was on the application management page. Hope you hear back soon!! ?

Just got admitted to UChicago today with a 30k a year scholarship. Unfortunately I don’t think that I will be able to attend because I just have too much debt from undergrad to go into more, but I’m still proud of myself
-
No I didn’t ? I got an email this morning from admissions though- maybe you got this as well? The email just states that they are still reviewing applications and will send another email when the decision letter is posted.
-
Lol same re: applying right before the deadline and having a recommendation letter turned in a few days after. Maybe we’ll hear something tomorrow

I just got my acceptance email a few minutes ago! Anyone know if financial aid information is available or will be sent soon?
-
Me too I had checked it before and I believe there was a third message that said something about filling out the supplemental form? But that’s gone now. I really hope they give aid information soon! I’m eager to decide if it’s even viable financially for me to attend.
-
I was accepted on the 14th and yes I still have not heard any financial aid info.
-
Has anyone here contacted financial aid about when aid packages will be released? I’ve been checking the student portal financial aid page for updates over the last week and it says no information is available yet.

2020 UNC CH vs. Columbia vs. Chicago vs. Michigan?? Help!
Msw2020lala replied to NE17's topic in Social Workers Forum
Agreed with others to go where youll have less debt.. these are all top programs. also my 2c is if you’re concerned about money I’d knock Columbia off the list unless you were getting reeeeeally significant aid. The cost of living in NYC compared to the locations of the other schools is ???- 11 replies

An old coworker of mine applied to and is now attending Hawaii Pacific University. I don’t know too much about their program (other than the fact it’s in Hawaii and my coworkers instagram stories look amazing...) but their regular deadline is June 1.
-
Nope just the regular two year full time program

Thank you!!!! I’m so shocked myself, I was really not expecting it at all. It seems way earlier than usual. My admission portal says that it is still processing my acceptance and in 1-2 days I will be able to accept or decline the offer (on the portal rn the boxes are grayed out), there’s no financial aid information right now but I assume that will be sent out soon? Hoping it won’t be too bad as I’m an out of state applicant.

Y’all I applied January 2 and I just got an e-mail acceptance today!!!!! Wow I’m super stoked! Anyway I hope this means more of you got accepted here I was thinking I was going to have to wait until March ?

I just received acceptance email to the university of Denver! I applied 1/31.

I also applied on 1/15, if it makes you feel any better I have several Ws on my transcript from sophomore and junior years, most of which are from a medical leave. Your cumulative GPA is much better than mine though! And I think they will mostly care about how well you did in your last few semesters or if there’s any trend of improvement. Though my cumulative gpa is a 3.48, my last four semesters of school I had a 3.72. Best of luck to the both of us! curious if everyone hearing back from UChicago applied earlier than the 1/15 deadline? I imagine less than two weeks would be a quick turnaround time for decisions, for those applicants who submitted day of
