Congratulations ! I was accepted and I am for sure going especially after seeing this financial aid package BU just gave me lol I signed up for the admitted students day next week Wednesday and everything, if you don't mind me asking was your scholarship initially offered to you in your acceptance letter or did you ask them to re-review your financial aid package? They gave me a good scholarship but more would be great of course lol

Looks like I'll be putting in my BC deposit like tomorrow lol

I literally just got the same thing like 2 seconds ago, they gave me a $20,000 loan.... that is not what I want lol it says tentative but that's still alot

For me, I read the course descriptions for both schools and spoke with someone about field education placements from each school, and BC just seemed more structured for my taste and seem to have more options in terms of the electives and the certificates. Both are great schools and they are similar so I know I will be getting a great education regardless, I did like that BU was the dual degree in MSW/Education because I really want to work in the schools but I just see myself at BC more than I do at BU, if that makes sense lol What made you decide on BU ?

Yeah the financial aid from BU would have to be significant for me to decide the other way, I mean both are great schools, so its a good decision either way, there's just something about BC that I like so much lol

I have been refreshing my email and checking my spam folder to see if anything about financial aid came through, but by the time they send it out, its going to be time to make a decision about BC !?‍♀️ I already know I'm leaning more towards BC but I want to know what the financial aid package is looking like before I do anything, I didn't think they were going to take this long, I already have my deposit for BC and everything lol

Yeah I think by Monday or Tuesday, everything should be out because there is no other information on the portal

Congratulations! I just saw that I was accepted too! Is there a certain page where it mentions financial aid because I see a 'deposit checklist' and I don't even know how much the deposit is lol

Did you check again ? I just checked the page and I got accepted , but it doesn't really tell much information other than I was accepted , nothing about financial aid from what I can see lol

Did the email direct you to look on the portal or was it just in the body of the email? I refreshed my email and nothing?‍♀️

Lol I guess we'll wait and see what BU says but yeah I am just going to follow what the website says because I literally can't afford for something to go wrong with my financial aid lol

And she also told me that they processed my FAFSA in January but I submitted FAFSA in October like maybe 5 days after it opened up

I did do that and I told the representative that I used the IRS date retrieval but she said that they still require a hard copy , and to send the Supplemental Form to the address on the form

Thanks!! Yeah April is too late. Yeah this is why I want to pay my deposit quickly so I can start getting the information I need but I just want to see about BU first, before I do anything even though I know I'm going to accept BC unless BU really gives me a full ride?

I literally just got off the phone with Student Services like 2 seconds ago lol they said to fill out the supplemental information form on the website and to also send over a hard copy of the tax return transcript, I'm going on the website right now. I don't know if they were going to send over this information after paying the deposit because the letter said nothing about this

Thank you! I didn't get an email from them even in the beginning when I submitted my application when decisions would be made, I only got an email that it was submitted. But if it is this Friday or next Tuesday, I can wait a little bit longer then, I thought it was going to be closer to the end of the month when BC wanted to know. Thanks again !!
