I'm on the waitlist for SAIS. If Masters admissions are anything like law school, it's customary to send a letter of continued interest to admissions. If you have any updates on grades (if you're still in school), recent awards, accomplishments, etc., you can list it - all while reiterating your interest in the program. I'm probably going to send mine in sometime this coming week.
Thanks! I was actually admitted to SAIS and may very likely attend should Harris not admit me from the waitlist. Good luck and I hope it ultimately goes well for you!

Not SIPA, but I was just accepted to the QMSS program in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. News from SIPA must shortly ensue!
Same here! Are you planning to do the dual degree? Wondering if this is indicative of SIPA acceptance at all.

Bumping this post. Have some of the same questions. Also considering both these schools.

those who got accepted, any of you international students?
Yes. Decision came out on the 28th as with the majority of others.

It’s an emailed result and I was rejected too. Maybe it’s good news for those who didn’t get it.

Results are out through email!

I read on the HKS thread that someone received an acceptance letter. Has anyone else received one as well?
Saw the same post but I am pretty sure Goldman's (or Berkeley's) policy is to release all decisions at the same time. He may be referring to the PhD is my guess.

Interested in how you weigh the pros and cons between SAIS and SIPA. I have also gotten into SAIS (MA) and I am expecting a decision from SIPA (MPA) in the next two weeks. Will be torn between the two (and also Duke MPP) if I get admitted. From what I've read the reviews regarding whether SIPA or SAIS is better is quite mixed.

Just got the MPP offer too. Congrats to all!

Hi and congrats to all who got in! I have been waitlisted for the MPP (tbh quite grateful it wasn’t a rejection already) and would like to see if anyone has any insights on ways of increasing the chance of being placed higher on the list. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Yes I'm a MAIDP applicant, but I've heard people got notified for both MPP and MAIDP applications. Not sure if they were all acceptance letters, since only people who got accepted would pretty much update online. Im feeling a bit anxious as well.. I've also heard that schools send out rejection letters all together... Have you applied to other schools?
Yes I applied to quite a few just to be safe. I know that Harris is a stretch for me so I wouldn't be overly let down if the results don't turn out well. Still have my hopes up tho.

It's kinda weird... I applied a week before the round 2 deadline.. and I've heard that many applicants got notified of their results starting at least two weeks ago.. Not sure why they're not giving out my results.. seems a bit unfair that I will be notified on the sameday with those who applied upto 21 feb..
In a similar boat as you. By results were they all acceptances? From what I’ve heard some students may get acceptances early but rejection letters always come together on time. Feeling anxious now. Also could you confirm if this information is for the MPP?

Me too. Haven't heard back anything, but we are supposed to hear back early next week?
Yes I think first week of March. Don't stress out about it. Good luck!

No replies yet. Got an email regarding application being reviewed about two weeks ago, which I think went out to a lot of people.

Yes, McCourt has some notable strengths, but there are lots and lots of down sides too. I recommend you weigh them carefully and read the reviews of current / recent students (who are speaking honestly about it).
I decided to apply after hearing good things about it from an undergraduate friend currently in their MPP-Data Analysis program, but I haven't talked much to actual students in the MPP. Do you mind sharing some specifics?

Starting a post for all those waiting it out with the Georgetown MPP program for fall 2020. Personally applied by the Jan 15th deadline.

Congrats to you as well, being a one year program definitely makes it more affordable, but also doesn't offer much in terms of flexibility.
Here is the list of courses if you haven't seen it, there is room for two electives, which I assume don't have to be at Fels https://www.fels.upenn.edu/academics/mpa/courses
There should still be current students available to talk to as it was a two year program, they just won't be on campus by the time the incoming class gets there
Thanks for the link. I have indeed seen the course list and did write to ask if it will remain largely the same for Fall 2020 admits. Still waiting on a reply.

Got my acceptance a week or so ago. It has a pretty strong local government bent, which gives it a strong regional network. Much like the Brown program, I think it gets much higher praise from people within the profession than US News.
Based on what I've read the shakeup was because the school wants to make an effort to raise their US News type rankings.
The website and info available definitely needs to be stepped up you're right
Congrats! I just got my acceptance last week too which is why I was determined to find out more about the program. I received a personal email from one of the profs (seems like a generic email though) and replied back asking about the class size and curriculum. Given there was no admission last year I don't even know if there would be current students to talk to about the program...

Hi all,
As some of you may know the UPenn Fels program received a complete makeover during the past two years and began admitting new students for fall 2020 after a hiatus last year. I am really looking for those with knowledge to provide insight on how the program has changed and information on how the program is looked upon in the MPA/MPP community. There seems to be very little information about the new program and previous quality insights are from old posts in 2012/2013.
Thanks in ahead.

From what I've heard, new blog post will be out around 1pm EST to notify applicants that decisions are released.
