Just got off the phone with New School, they're still in the process of sending out acceptances (for poetry).

Iowa has sent all acceptances and waitlists I believe. I received their rejection letter in the mail on Saturday. Pretty funny that they feel the need to mail those out, kind of speaks to the program a bit, I think. All the same, I'm excited to have it. I'll probably frame it one day.

Interested to hear more about Hunter’s culture too.

I'm tempted to just call and ask. It's so frustrating to have to wait for snail mail. This system is silly.

I’m grateful for any notes that will be included from Iowa but sending rejections through the post is terribly pretentious and obnoxious.

More acceptances for NYU poetry going out. Given that 6 have been registered on the site and that not everyone uses this site obviously, it feels like a death knell to not have heard anything yet. Anyone have insight?

@Ydrl I also submitted to poetry magazines around the same time as applications, and am also getting rejections just as app decisions are coming out. It’s a funny kind of bleakness. Oh well. This group is very helpful for insider knowledge, but I think it’s ultimately harmful to my mental wellbeing. I’m going to try and ignore my phone the rest of the day. Best of luck all.

Oh god @KITKAT10 where are you seeing this about Hunter? For fiction or poetry? I really want to get in to Hunter (applied for poetry) so I'm nervous!! In other news, I got waitlisted at Cornell! I'm shocked. Hoping people deny their acceptances so I can get into one program at least! Feels both like a win and a little bit of a loss, but we'll see what happens with the rest. Congrats to all who've heard about acceptances and best of luck to those who are still waiting!

Hello all! I'm new here, rather wish my friend didn't tell me about this website because now I can't stop refreshing the page every 5 mins, but I'm a first-time poetry MFA applicant waiting on news from Iowa, Michigan, Virginia, Utah, Irvine, Hunter, NYU, New School, and Cornell. Got rejected from UMass Amherst last week, definitely hurt (especially since they sent me an email at 10pm saying my status had changed but the portal only read "Update pending" for 36 hours) but that Ocean Vuong is a hack anyway (totally kidding) and I'm optimistic I'll hear some good news somewhere. Anyone have an idea when we'll be hearing from these schools? I take it a lot of you have applied to many of the same schools I have. Best of luck!
