Congrats to everyone who received good news this week! I took a break from this forum because this process was starting to get to me, but after a very kind rejection email from Hunter telling me I'd been a semi-finalist and a hopeful-sounding waitlist email from BU, I'm at least feeling more confident.

I got an email saying they’re missing one of my documents (I forgot to send an official version of my study abroad transcript-whoops!), so I think it’s just letting you know that you have everything and you’re good.

Also has anyone heard anything from UCLA?

I don't know if this will work for everyone, but I had a mini therapy session with myself the other day where I pictured not getting in anywhere and tried to isolate what I found most upsetting about it. I realized it was actually the idea of another year of living at home and feeling like I'm just waiting for my life to start--which is super fixable and completely in my control. So I made a pact with my best friend that we'll move in together if that happens, and I've been feeling pretty zen about the nonsense that is this process ever since. I think it's key to have a back-up plan that can be exciting in its own way and helps you to feel like you're moving forward no matter what.

I noticed on the MFA Draft page that people were getting rejected via the portal (no email or anything, their status just changed). Checked my portal, and I'd been rejected. (Not from T&D yet, just Michener).

As a distraction from all this anxious waiting--has anyone on here done pre-MFA fellowships/apprenticeships that they would recommend?

My experience was exactly the same as yours! I had to literally bring up the question they asked me to prepare, but I think the fact that it was so casual is a good thing? Fingers crossed!

Nope, nothing yet! I wish all the programs were like CMU with a definitive interview/waitlist/rejection response for everyone. I get the sense a lot of them just keep you on an indefinite waitlist without telling you *screams internally*

Hi! First time poster/applicant! I applied to a seriously extra number of programs, but my favorites are Michener, UCSD, Brown, Brooklyn, CMU, Ohio, and Boston. So far I've been invited to interview for CMU; congrats to everyone else who did too! Anyone heard anything from Michener yet?
