  1. same here~ will have interview with Goldsmiths on March 24th and with Slade on March 25th Still waiting the updates from RCA (round 2 application) And UCLA (interviewed on Feb 15th, probably no show since already 2 weeks...) The schools from Netherland: sandberg instituut & piet zwart havent deadline yet.
  2. The MFA is an 18-month studio-based programme (two academic years) with a two part, written and oral, Critical Studies component. The MA is a 24-month studio-based programme, which has a taught History and Theory of Art component. All students follow the same studio programme, working alongside each other in an open studio environment, electing to work in the Sculpture, Painting or Fine Art Media areas. There is lively cross over between all areas. I have an undergraduate degree from UK and i applied Slade MFA this year (got an invitation of interview in March), originally i would like to apply MA but just too lazy for drafting a research proposal after finalising the profolio ...
  3. actually new genres has already asked transcripts and interviewed the finalists... just wondering when will they confirm the final result...(maybe they have already offered spots for the two lucky applicants)
  4. actually Slade MFA and MA are the same level programmes, and i would say MA even more strict (MFA just focuses on practice but MA also need you to draft an abstract/study proposal for essay when you applied)
  5. you spoke to your disciplinary or in general?
  6. I moved out London few years ago after I graduated. I live in Asia so its not easy for me just go to an open day in EU/US I think only MA would be allowed to study other course in UCL (I applied MFA)
  7. cool, thank you for the information. How would you compare to Slade and RCA? (actually i earned my BA from UAL, I feel hard to decide these two)
  8. have you accepted the offer from RCA? at least RCA is a great school as well...I used to apply round 1 but their portal has technical problem made me cant applied on time....have to apply round 2 instead
  9. oh, just read the previous post, u are one of the 10 as well haha ? Do you feel the interview is challenging or...?
  10. I dont know have they contacted any of my referees (since we dont contact often) I elaborate some of my works and my goal in the future during the interview (i think i could do better actually), but anyway, I did my job, cant regret anything that much I know there are 10 finalists for 2 places (New Genre), dunno when will they decide the final result. P.S. i applied interdisciplinary studio as my first choice originally but UCLA sent an email to me said New Genre would like to interview me rather than IS...
  11. I applied contemporary art practice (critical practice pathway). Yea, I joined the tg channel, thx for inviting...hope i could share any experience (thats mean wont just get the rejection directly ?)
  12. the schools i have applied: Yale: rejected UCLA (new genre): interviewed last weekend Slade: will be interviewed (late-March) Goldsmiths: waiting (probably no show since someone has already received the invitation RCA: waiting (I applied the round 2) Piet Zwart: waiting sandberg institute: waiting
  13. I think Piet Zwart won't send the interview invitation that early, considering their deadline is 6 March for international students
