Hey - I was on this forum last year during application season, weird to be back - but I was accepted to Iowa and I just want to say for anyone who is worrying right now, I was only accepted about a couple weeks before the April 15th deadline, by phone, later than any other school, and I was accepted with their most well paying fellowship. So application season is weird and just because some ppl are receiving acceptances it really doesn't mean anything. What I learned from here is that forewarning or foreworrying actually worsens your experience of the outcome, because it makes you believe you know what's going on when the administrations that handle rejections/acceptances are all wavy gravy, baby. It really is all good until you actually personally get the no.

Or at least that's how it was explained to me!! I'm in for poetry lol, I hope to see you there.

In response to rbr542's points abt Michigan (I'm sure you know this) but Iowa will also offer third year funding to support your writing as you teach an undergrad class in Iowa City or as you relocate to another city and start your career. It's not a full time 3rd year dedicated to writing, but Iowa's aid does extend past two years.

Hey all, first time caller, long time listener. I haven't gotten into the MFA Draft '20 fb group yet, & I'm sure I'm missing out on some info (though I know, I know these groups are all some sort of soothsaying) -- has anybody heard anything about UMich? It seems last year acceptances/rejections were sent the 18th. Does that mean people are expecting it all to come out sometime in the next few days?
