  1. Only one school left to hear from, and best case scenario there would be a waitlist. At this point I'm waitlisted at Hopkins and U of Arkansas for fiction, rejected elsewhere. I can't help but have this hopeful feeling about Arkansas. Davis McCombs said it's a short list, and I've seen one poster say they got into fiction but they're leaning another way, and another who says they're on the waitlist but they have another offer they know they're gonna take. Looks like at least another month of waiting for me this season. Groundhog says, fuck you! Six more weeks of winter!
  2. News from Draft for Hopkins/JHU/Writing Seminars, fiction: Acceptances went out on Friday (sounds like all of them, though that's not 100% confirmed), waitlist notifications are coming tomorrow.
  3. Congrats!!! I hope you get funding, if that's where you wanna go. I've been trying to find information about Montana's current funding situation, since their website seems to be pretty out of date and there was a pretty scary article in 2018 about their MFA program being on the brink of collapse. Did they give you any other specifics? Cohort size, etc.?
  4. I bet you're right about making it through to the second round! I saw those rejections for poetry back in January. I'm a fiction writer, and it seems like the decisions for fiction are way behind poetry.
  5. Yeah for real what about Johns Hopkins? Heard on Draft from someone who reached out that they're gonna have "finalists" picked by early next week. Nice and vague.
  6. The next rejection I'm bracing for is Hopkins (The Writing Seminars). I'm still waiting to get into Draft. Anyone know anything about the Fiction decisions? I saw a couple rejections posted for Poetry back at the end of January. Haven't seen anything from Hopkins since. I'm dying. I feel all you people who have been told a million times by your friends and family that you're *sure* to get in to a program, when seriously it's the longest of long shots.
