Hello! I’m currently deciding between MSW programs (fall 2020 entry, Covid willing) at NYU and USC. NYU offered me 15k a year and USC offered me 20k a year, so they’re a bit more affordable than I initially thought. I’m interested in becoming an LCSW and working with teens and adulta. I’m originally from NJ, so NYC makes sense, but I might end up in LA anyway because my partner plans to work there (and I definitely wouldn’t mind living in Cali). I’m basically just trying to decide which program is better suited to me. I’ve heard that NYU is super clinical (which I like), but I haven’t heard as much about USC’s program. Any advice is appreciated

Hi! Not sure if this forum is still active, but I just wanted to see if anyone is in the same boat as me right now: I was accepted to NYU, but I'm still waiting to hear back from Columbia and USC. I'm more interested in clinical social work, as my long-term goal is to become a therapist (i.e. LCSW). I heard that NYU is the most clinical-based program, and they gave me a $15k (per year) scholarship -- so I'm pretty set on going there at this point. However, I'm feeling a little nervous about committing before hearing back from the other programs. Is anyone hear planning to attend NYU for their MSW? If so, what made this program stand out to you? Thank you
