I just checked the application portal and I got accepted

Just heard back from Harris Admin, they said the reason I received a second application for MPP is that I was denied for MSCAPP so they redirected me to MPP for separate consideration. They informed me that I should be expecting a notification email within 7-10 business days.

lol small world! I also applied to SIPA, which I am more excited about, but sadly it is not STEM either. I wrote to the Admin team couple days ago, but received no reply yet. Fingers crossed we will be notified very soon.

I did not come from a quant background, instead I majored in asset management and had three years' working experience in retail banking. I am thinking about switching to risk/data related fields so MSCAPP is my top option. Given your background I think you are a very strong candidate though (I would think you are overqualified, lol). BTW, not sure if this is relevant to you, but I am an international applicant, MSCAPP offers STEM extension so I am not sure whether I would eventually end up with MPP if I am being redirected.

I am a bit confused with their timeline too. Same here! Funny that the AO waived my application fee. I applied to MSCAPP on R2 (submitted on 1/20) and saw the second MPP application generated on 2/25. I am not sure if that means I have been redirected to MPP and will be notified by 2/28 or am being waitlisted for MSCAPP/ MPP.
