Both are really good schools and offer a similar amount of funding, but Virginia has lower cost of living.
Berkeley feels newer/experimentative (more up for anything I might want to try, supportive, they're currently working on renewing their program) and UVA (Curry) feels "safer" (more opportunities for practice/internships in the area, POI has way more connections, probably more opportunities to get even more funding later)
At first I thought I was going to choose Berkeley but now I'm having second thoughts because Curry seems more secure. Any thoughts appreciated.
