Hey everyone! I just had my interview. I applied to both course-based and thesis stream. I think it went well? How do you know if it went well? lol They're conducting interviews for the next few weeks, and decisions should be available for April.

this is terrifying. 70 freakin people! ?

i have a 3.6 or 3.7 GPA in my last two years. 80% average. but what i’m scared about is my low grade in biostats which is 72% lol. i got waitlisted for queens and rejected at guelph and there’s 70 people on that thing. i’m terrified but i have an internship that i’m hoping to get hired at and maybe next year i can apply again. so weird not knowing what you’re going to be doing coming the fall. especially with the pandemic and drop in economy. good luck everyone

anyone waiting for queens, the grad assistant just told me i’m waitlisted and they’ll send out offers to waitlists at the end of april all the way until june.

anybody hear back from queens yet? i know first round deadline was yesterday. i still haven’t heard back ?

okay...i’m starting to get nervous. grad assistant at queens told me they would let us know if we’re waitlisted or rejected. i know they sent rejections out tuesday and i still haven’t heard anything. both my portals for queens and guelph are not updated.... anyone else in this position? ?

hey i go to brock currently. a lot of my friends applied to the mph and haven’t heard back yet. don’t stress, our admissions team can be slow lol.

has anyone gotten waitlisted at queens and/or guelph yet?

*For anyone waiting to hear back from Queens* I emailed the grad assistant and she said that rejections and waitlists are going out by the end of this week/beginning of next week. Do not take my word for this, but from the emails it seems like for those who haven’t heard back, we are either rejected or waitlisted and then a second round of offers will go out after they’ve heard back from the first rounders. It sucks but it is what it is. I hope this information is helpful. It is really frustrating when there are people who are super passionate about working within the public health field who are losing spots to those just using an MPH as a stepping stone. I can understand the latter, but it’s still frustrating. Good luck to all who are still waiting!

Has anyone heard back from Queens or contacted them regarding when we'll hear back? I also applied to Guelph and it says on their website that we'll hear back in April but I haven't really seen anything official online for Queens. I know someone here said based on last year, we'll probably hear back mid-end of March. But last year friends of mine got accepted to Brock in February whereas this year I don't think they even sent out any offers yet. I'm internally freaking out everyday. I know we'll get an email but I probably check the portal for Queens like 2-3 times a day. Stupid anxiety! ?
