Just checked my GSMS portal. Got a rejection for U of A Global Health after the long wait.

It’s annoyingly funny. A friend applied to NYU global health in late February and has paid acceptance fee this week. I applied to U of A since December and yet to receive a decision. There’s no set date to receive a decision anymore. I think it would have been nice to know if we’re being waitlisted or rejected so that we don’t get false hopes.

My friends that applied to US schools got their decisions in less than two months even with this outbreak. I don’t know why admissions from Canada are tarrying this long.

Do you mean U of A??? I’m getting tired of the wait. It’s been 4 months since the deadline already.?

So for those waiting for a decision under the global health stream, I mailed them and they said there has been a first round of offers already. I guess none of us here made the cut. Deadline to accept is probably April 18 or so. Maybe after that, they might release more offers. Stay hopeful..

Yes, I was also told April 15. I’ll probably send them a mail and politely ask if offers have gone out for Global Health stream prior to today. I haven’t seen anyone here say they received an offer for Global Health.

It’s April 15 and U of A said it would be sending out some offers today. I’m pretty nervous, haven’t heard of anyone getting offers for the Global Health stream yet. I do hope we get a decision this week so that we move from this waiting phase. Good luck to everyone waiting and congratulations to those that have received their dream offers.

They told me 15th April. I wonder why things are being slowed down irrespective of the global health crisis (COVID-19).

Anyone heard from U of A Global Health? the wait is frustrating?

Maybe someone should send them a mail asking if there have been admission rounds for MPH Global Health. Considering we have some positive feedback on other streams in this forum.

She replied that the date has been moved to April 15. ☹️

I don’t know what to think anymore. Maybe applicants to MPH Global Health were many and they had to go through the rigorous process of selecting few for admission. I’ll send a mail today.
